Honey Garlic Steak & Rice Skillet with Savory Butter Glaze 🍽️🔥
Ingredients:
1 lb steak (cut into strips)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 cup rice (uncooked)
2 cups beef broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions:
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil heats, season steak strips generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the hot skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the Honey Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower the heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it’s fragrant and just golden.
Build the Glaze: Whisk in the honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Let the mixture simmer gently for a minute or two, forming a rich, sticky glaze.
Add Rice & Broth: Stir in the uncooked rice, coating it well in the sauce. Pour in the beef broth, then bring everything to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes, or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Finish with Steak: Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Stir everything together and let the steak warm through in the sauce for 2–3 minutes, allowing all the flavors to meld.
Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for a burst of color and serve hot. This one-skillet meal delivers the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and garlicky goodness.
