Just to clarify how the new parcel service at IGA Batlow started 😊

📦 A Message from IGA Batlow

We’d like to clear up a bit of confusion about the new parcel collection service through IGA Batlow.

A few months ago, after the local transport company stopped operating, a company called Hub contacted us. They explained that some parcels sent from Wagga to Batlow residents were difficult to deliver — for example, when no one was available at the delivery address to receive them.

Hub asked if we could help the community by acting as a local collection point, so those undelivered parcels could still reach their owners safely.
Based on that explanation, we agreed in July, purely to provide convenience for local residents — not to compete with anyone.

Parcels have only started arriving recently, which is why some confusion has popped up.

All parcel routing and delivery decisions are made entirely by the courier or sender, not by us.
We fully support and respect the Batlow LPO and recognise the important service it provides to our town.

Our only goal is to clarify the facts, remove misunderstanding, and continue helping the Batlow community wherever we can.

Batlow IGA is now a Hubbed Portal, which means you may get a notification to pick up your parcel from here. It is really us! Bring in photo id, and your mobile phone to receive a pin to collect.

I know a lot of us have been having trouble with the IGA Members Cards. We are not yet able to scan digital cards, but we are now able to pull up your Members Card on the tills by using your phone number. Really handy for those who don't carry the physical card. Download the app and sign in, to receive digital copies of your receipt as well!
