We would like to let everyone know that we have resolved this issue now. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and wish everyone the best for 2026.

Hey everyone,

We made a genuine mistake and accidentally gave one customer a large amount of extra meat (around $600 worth) on top of what they paid for.

That extra meat was clearly labelled with another customer’s name and was originally prepared for a Cancer Council order. We had enough stock to remake that order, so it wasn’t a stock issue — but it was never meant to go to the wrong person.

The customer later admitted they noticed they had received much more than they ordered, but they have since refused to return it or pay for it after we contacted them.

Just to clear up some confusion — under Australian Consumer Law, this doesn’t count as “free” or “unsolicited” goods. If someone knows they’ve been given extra by mistake, they’re required to return it or pay for it.

We owned the mistake and tried to fix it fairly. Unfortunately, the other party has chosen not to do the right thing.

We’re a small local business, and situations like this really hurt. It’s a busy time, it’s Christmas and we want to service our community. And yes, there is a little part of us that hopes there is some integrity amongst our customers. We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.
