A bowl of soup rarely photographs well IMO... my very good coeliac friend, who conveniently lives across the road, made a chicken soup this morning and bought some over for my lunch. She's used the stellini pasta in it and at first, I thought it was barley! Such a great addition to the soup to bulk it out a bit & make it interesting.

I followed this recipe (kinda) tonight, I reckon I'd ditch the flour & breadcrumbs & replace them both with That Krispy Life seasoning instead next time.

An easy weekend meal base starts with a risotto... add protein & a salad or some steamed veges & you've got a winter winner with not a lot of effort! With 5 risotto bases, there's always something new to try!

Tonight I tried the Leatherwood honey and sea salt and I have to say I really do like it! The honey is quite prominent, but not overpowering, it adds a sweetness that is very pleasant, the salt is quite subtle in the background. This flavour would pair with a fruit platter and possibly cheese. It's light & refreshing.

I tried the classic cola and the lemon/lime/pepperberry yesterday.
The cola is clear, has the cola flavour without the sweetness & was nicely fizzy.
The lemon/lime/pepperberry was refreshing & definitely a soda not a soft drink. We all had a sip at home - hubby thought it might be nice with a clear Polish spirit made from potatoes, daughter liked it but not after having a "proper lemonade" & echoed thoughts from visiting friend.
Verdict - a nice, light, alternative beverage when you want something thats not fruit juice or a super sweet soft drink. If you're used to kombucha, this has a similar vibe without the gut benefits of a buche! Now to try the other 2...

These arrived yesterday, locally made, unique flavour combinations & clean-ish ingredients. I'm yet to taste them but they sound delicious!
