Not every jar belongs on the sweet side of the table.

Our Pineapple & Macadamia pairs sweet pineapple with buttery Australian macadamia, and it is made for roast pork and glazed ham. Brush it on in the last twenty minutes of cooking for a sticky, golden crust.

Perfect for a spring lunch on the verandah.

🥂Well, tonight is Bronwyn’s big night🥂

Our wonderful Village Postmaster, Bronwyn, is a finalist in the LPO of the Year Awards and Mrs Oldbucks is putting the kettle on and cheering her all the way!

Bronwyn and her fabulous team are the people behind so many of those parcels you eagerly wait for, carefully handling every delivery, letter and package that comes through our village.

But it’s so much more than that, she is part of the fabric of our community. Always friendly, always helpful and somehow always managing to keep us all connected , even when we’re chasing that parcel that surely should have arrived by now!

We are so lucky to have you, Bronwyn.

Good luck tonight, gorgeous girl , you’ve already made our village very proud! ❤️

Now fingers crossed, toes crossed and teacups firmly raised! ☕️🥂🏆

Spring has arrived in the pantry.

This season we have gathered five flavours that are a little out of the ordinary: Strawberry & Rose, Blueberry & Lavender, Peach Melba, Apricot & Passionfruit and Pineapple & Macadamia. Light, fresh and made for more than toast.

Over the next few weeks we will share exactly what we do with each of them at home, from blueberry ripple ice cream to a pineapple and macadamia glaze for your roast pork.

Shop the Spring essentials online or come and see us in Berrima.

🌷And if you are heading to Tulip Time in Bowral this month, we are just fifteen minutes up the road.

Jam first or cream first? Let us settle it.

In Devon, the cream goes on first. Clotted cream is so thick it is very nearly butter, so it spreads like butter, with the jam on top.

In Cornwall it is jam first, then a dollop of clotted cream to finish.

Here in Australia we mostly use whipped cream, which is far too soft to spread first. So the jam goes on the scone, the cream goes on top, and then we call it a Devonshire tea. By Devon rules, it is not.

Our view? Jam first, cream on top, no arguments at the table. The only real rule is that the scones are warm. Which side are you on?

Just moved to the Highlands? Go here first.

The Berrima District Museum on Market Place, run by a historical society going since 1960.

Their image library holds over 8,000 photographs of local houses, streets and people. You can look up your own street. Your own house. Find out who lived there and what stood there before.

They also hold Prisoners in Arcady, the story of the German seamen interned in Berrima during the First World War.

Learn where you live. Then come and find us on the corner afterwards.

Tulip Time is open in Bowral and I could not be happier. From 11 September to 5 October, Corbett Gardens fills with thousands of tulips, a Highlands tradition since 1958. This year's theme is Together We Bloom, which feels just right after the winter we have had.

This year you will find us right there among the tulips. We have a stand in Corbett Gardens showcasing our Spring essentials and many more favourites from the pantry shelves. Come and say hello, have a taste of the new flavours and take a jar of Spring home with you.

And if you want the full range, we are only fifteen minutes up the road in Berrima.
