🐑 Our final set of twins have arrived! 🐑
This morning we welcomed our final set of twins for the season, and we couldn’t be more over the moon with how our lambing has turned out. ❤️
From just 11 pregnant ewes, we’ve had 9 sets of twins, including a set of triplets and 20 lambs in total. Sadly, we lost one of the triplets, but we are incredibly grateful for the 20 healthy little lambs we have running around the paddocks.
Our final ewe to lamb was actually a maiden ewe, meaning this was her first time having lambs. Brad was at work this morning, and luckily she had her twins without any trouble. She did, however, seem to forget about her second little lamb! 😂 So I managed to get her into the yards and take her two little ewe lambs back to her. She soon cleaned them both up and has since been an amazing mum ❤️🐑
After such a hectic and challenging start to the year, with the bushfires and so many of our paddocks and areas of the farm being burnt, we feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to have had such an amazing lambing season.
There’s something pretty special about seeing these little lambs running around on a farm that has been in our family for generations. My great grandfather lived here many years ago and I’m sure he would be so proud to see the farm still thriving and the next generation carrying on the tradition 💗
