We are graced wit

h 148 acres of free to range grazing, natural treed shelters and enormouse trout and redfin filled dams. In a holistic regenerative farming roaming environment we raise rare breed pigs - Berkshires for pork, Cattle - British Whites for beef and FinnSheep lamb and handspinner wool. "Brooklands" is the name of the first settled farm in New Zealand by the Hurst family, a long line of farmers and today continues on in Australia. Jono Hurst grew up on the family farm running "Braeside" a large sheep, deer and cattle farm in the small district of Waihaorunga in the South Island of New Zealand and is still run today by family. Natalie has worked in the veterinary industry for over 30 years, has studied equine herbal medicine and small animal nutrition. Regenerative Farming at Brooklands is all about the soil health, nurturing the soil, and the bugs & fungi. Everything that is below our feet has an army living in synergy with each having a purpose. Building the soil health, creating healthy plants for foraging, sequencing the Carbon is all part of the process here at Brooklands.
