Bolwarra Canteen Sept 2016-Oct 2023 The canteen is a major fundraiser for the P&C each year whilst still providing nutritious food at a reasonable cost to our families.

The canteen is run by a paid manager along with our wonderful volunteers. The canteen is open 5 days a week for lunch orders and open both breaks for snacks. The menu has been developed in accordance to the NSW Healthy School Canteen strategy. Volunteering helps by enabling us to cook more fresh, tasty snacks in-house instead of pre-packaged foods. It really is an enjoyable day, there are step by

step instruction with pictures to help you through and our supervisor is always there to help. Please consider volunteering, the kids love to see their parents or grandparents helping out. It’s also a great way to see your child in the school environment and get to meet some of their friends. You also get to meet new people and feel a real connection to the school community that your child is a part of. Just contact the school or the canteen. We ask that you fill in a form at the office before your first shift in line with government requirements.

Well, I've finally stopped crying! 😭😆 I have read all the messages and cards!💓
Today was amazing, to see the love you all have for me, it almost made me change my mind......almost 😊
But like all good things, my time at Bolwarra Canteen has come to an end. For over 7 years I have served the most amazing, happy children. Watched them grow and change each year and go off to high school. Now it is my time to leave.
I leave on a wave of well wishes, hugs and high 5s! I want to thank all my wonderful volunteers, past and present, without you all I couldn't have achieved what I have. To the teachers and staff - you are all amazing, wonderful people who do such an important job. Thank you for supporting my canteen in so many ways ❤️ and to all the students, your smiles brightened my day, stories I have been told and chats I have had, I will miss it all.
Take care everyone, remember to be kind and never lose that smile. I will miss you. Enjoy the pictures 📸 Love Mel ❤️

So you have probably heard I'm leaving.... 🥺
The kids have also been asking -
are you quitting (NO 😮)
have you been sacked (NO!! 😯),
do you hate it here (lordy NO!!!😱)...then why are you leaving?!?!?
I was offered a job that I just couldn't pass up! 🥰
I will save my goodbyes and tears until next Friday. Until then feel free to join me for 1 last week at our amazing canteen - Mel ❤️

I hope everyone has emptied that 2 week old banana🍌 out of the lunch box 🤢
The kids are bathed and ready for bed, uniforms laid out in preparation for 1st day of term 4
Don't panic 🫨 if you have forgotten bread, the canteen is open as usual

🥳Well I can say we passed with flying colours!
🍉You can be rest assured your children are eating healthy from the canteen 😊❤️
