It's been a long time coming, but we were extremely grateful to receive 35mm of rain today.
This is our biggest rainfall since November last year, and is almost as much as the total rain we have received this year. That's probably hard to believe if you live close to the coast
Follow up will be important to start some run off to fill the dams.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter break.
Markets are still open this Sunday, and we will have the first of our Non Astringent Persimmons.
These Persimmons can be eaten crunchy like an apple, and even though the size is down, they taste great.

Leeks are back in season!

Leeks have a milder and sweeter flavour than an onion, making them perfect to char, sautèe or adding to soups.

The whole leek can be eaten. While the white section is more commonly used as it is more tender, the green tops can be sliced and added to stews or soups!

Plenty of other produce will be available. Come on down and see us tomorrow morning at Mt Gravatt Markets.
