Earlier this year, Hewitt's annual breaking in School was run by Rebecca Hewitt and Scott Keogh at Roundstone in the Pegunny aggregation.

The school saw 8 team members from across Hewitt Agribusiness take their horses from green to broken in, within the 7-day intensive program.

The breaking in school builds invaluable skills in our team members and ensures our teams have high quality and well-trained horses for station use.

A big thanks to Scott Keogh Horsemanship.
Keep an eye out for these horses in the future.

A huge congratulations to Tandou station hand Lacey, who took out the junior judging award at the Hay Sheep Show in NSW recently - in her very first competition.
Lacey was one of three Hewitt team members to complete the this year.
Hewitt is proud to support programs like Hay Inc that give young people practical skills, confidence and connections to build long-term careers in agriculture.
Lacey will now head to Sydney Royal in 2027, where she’ll compete against some of NSW’s best young judges.

Hewitt is excited to support the Theodore Roosters with jerseys to celebrate the junior players efforts for their rugby league season.

The Roosters ran onto the field in their new jerseys alongside teammates from Moura and Baralaba, proudly representing their communities in the under-12s for the Jason Hetherington Gary Larson Carnival on the weekend.

This young team has built a great connection over the years, with many of the players competing together since 2020.

A special shout out to Payton Hewitt and Jack Anderson, who were named players’ players of the carnival, and Jake Joyce, who received the coaches’ choice award.

Great to see the team finish the season running out together in their new jerseys. Well done to all the players, coaches and volunteers - what a season!

Big dreams can start in small towns - and country football has a special way of bringing them to life.

That is why Hewitt was proud to help deliver a grassroots rugby league clinic to Moura recently, giving junior players from Theodore, Moura and Baralaba the chance to train with Brisbane Broncos star Ben Hunt ahead of the Jason Hetherington Gary Larson Carnival at Gladstone.

For Hewitt, backing country football is about supporting the communities that have shaped our business and the young people who will carry them forward.

Alongside Broncos development coaches Jharal Yow Yeh and James Geurtjens, as well as NRL Football Operations General Manager Troy Thomson, Ben worked with the juniors to build skills, answer their questions and show where hard work can lead.
