🔥Rossco – 4 Years of Arana Tender Cut Meats 🔥

Arana Tender Cut Meats has been proudly owned and operated by Rossco for 4 years, so we sat down with him to ask a few questions about the journey so far.

🥩 Ross, how have you found the first 4 years of business?

“It’s been a lot of hard work. The first 2 years of owning the shop, I barely left the place. Believe me when I say there’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears put into this shop over the last 4 years—but it’s also been incredibly rewarding.”

🥩 How has business been for you?

“Small business is tough, but we’ve been lucky enough to build an extremely loyal customer base. Myself, Will, Kristy, and Brett know a lot of our customers by name.

When I first took over the shop, we were serving around 800 customers a week. Now, we consistently serve over 1,500 customers every week.

After 3 years in business, I decided to do the shop fit-out. It definitely wasn’t cheap, but I wanted to put everything back into the shop—not for myself, but for our customers. They’ve given so much to our family business, and I wanted to improve things for them.”

🥩 What do you love most about your job?

“Honestly, serving the community.

I love seeing our customers grow—from new relationships to a few years later, they’re married with families. Giving a little kid a free cheerio, then blinking and suddenly that same kid is 15, helping clean up the shop and telling me what to do 😂

We’re the local butcher, and it feels like we’ve been part of so many people’s journeys—and they’ve been part of ours too.”

🥩 Is there anything you’d like to say?

“Thank you to everyone who has supported our family business over the years. Your support means more than you know.

You’ve helped keep food not only on my table, but on all our staff’s tables as well. You’ve helped support Will through his apprenticeship.

Without all of you, none of this would be possible.

Thank you for helping make my dream a reality. We’ll keep serving you all with a smile and keep supplying the best meat in town.”
