I love taking 3 or 4 different flavours to a bbq and not telling anyone what they are! Cook them all up, cut into quarters or thirds, and let everyone try and guess what they are.

It’s a great conversation starter and it gets people trying things that they may not have even given a chance otherwise. It’s a great way to discover new favourites.

Oh how we’ve missed our La Boqueria Australia chorizo. It’s been unavailable for a couple of weeks now so we’re very happy to have all 3 varieties back in all 3 stores atm.

Meat at Billy’s is 17 years young this week! 🎉

We’ve come a very long way since we first opened our doors in Ashgrove in August 2009. And some of you have been along for the ride from the very beginning.

Some of you first came through our doors as kids with your parents, and now you’re shopping with us as parents yourselves. That really is a pretty special feeling.

Being part of this neighbourhood and now having the opportunity to be part of three Brisbane communities, is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Meat at Billy’s in any way, shape or form over the past 17 years. It’s no mean feat to be in business for 17 years and it’s a testament to our incredible staff, our suppliers and most importantly, our customers who continue to support us.

If you’d told me back in 2009 that 17 years later we’d have three stores, an online business and a home delivery service, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.

And to my wife and daughter, thank you as always for your unwavering support, and for putting up with the long hours and all the time I spend away from home. There’s no way I could do this without you guys backing me every step of the way.

17 years. What a ride.
