Happy Father’s Day to mine and the boys’ best mate. His energy to get up at 4am every day, do all he does at work and then come home to do swimming lessons, home readers, the lawn, dinner, and whatever else he squeezes into his day before I get home from work at 7:30. When I get up at 4:00 to do the window I am well and truly clocked off by 5pm, my eyeballs are shutting. But not this guy. He is like the energiser bunny. He never ever stops. There might be something undiagnosed there because I as a mere mortal genuinely don’t know how he does it. He is the most beautiful and most patient, most loving dad. He does absolutely anything he can to make our boys smile. When I was politely declining the ooshies at Woolies, Jacob was collecting them and he was the one who took them to the swap days. He drove to multiple shopping centres to complete their collections. He creates and prints colouring in pictures of their favourite wrestlers and he collages, prints and laminates photos from the footy game we went to for them to take to school and show their friends. He just does the sweetest little things for them all the time. I like to think I am a great mother. But I really feel that Jacob is the better parent in this team. I am constantly in awe of him. There’s no way the kids know how truly blessed they are, but I do. Happy Father’s Day to the absolute best 🤍

I put the window in today! It’s been a while! And I thought I’d take you on the journey with me! It’s a lot of work. It doesn’t really look like it because this is condensed into 20 seconds but in real life this took me 3 hours. This is what Matilda does every Saturday and Jacob every day during the week before we even start the day’s work. We don’t have a roller door to just pull down at close of business. Everything is retrayed, filled and freshened up every single morning and multiple times throughout the day. This way things are not sitting and sitting in their juices and our products stay fresher for longer. We put a lot of work into our display and our products.. and a lot of love. If you haven’t shopped with us yet, please give us a go. I promise, you will not be disappointed 💙

This is a post for anyone displaced from their kitchen or normal cooking appliances, who might only have a microwave to heat or cook food.

I’ve had this question / comment a few times from people who have been flood affected and still don’t have a kitchen, and also from people living in a motel room. But maybe other people are temporarily without an oven and don’t have an air fryer, and so this information is really handy.

Our Chicken Enchiladas CAN absolutely be cooked in the microwave. And I don’t just give you this information without having done it myself. We used to do this ALL the time at our old job, years and years ago before air fryers were a thing and all we HAD was the microwave!

4 MINUTES PER ENCHILADA, ON HIGH.
So if you have 2, it would be 8 minutes.

That’s all it takes! And I PROMISE you, the chicken is cooked! And I ALSO promise you, it’s good! REALLY good!

The staff were all shocked and appalled at this information.. so I cooked one up to prove a point! I hadn’t done it for years and years and definitely not in this microwave so I did make sure it was cooked before I started filming a video for you.. because that would have been really awkward! But YEP! 4 minutes in the microwave, on high, just as I remember it.. perfect 👌🏻

Even if you are with a full kitchen and don’t need to know this right now, it’s a good one to have in your back pocket because you just never know ♥️

We’ve had these in the window the last two Fridays & Saturdays and I’ve had a couple of comments about them being in the window again at the end of this week.
