Retired and closed since December 2025 Michel's Fine Biscuit Co. Castlemaine is an Australian owned and operated company based in regional, Victoria.

Permanently closed.

Since 2002 the company has been delivering freshly baked handmade products with passion and enthusiasm. Using the finest, freshest ingredients with no added colours or preservatives we bake to order and our range includes gluten free. Michel’s Fine Biscuit Co. Castlemaine is proud of it’s regional presence and supports local farmers markets and events. Our customers include retail outlets, cafes, corporates and catering companies to name a few.

"Thanks and time to say goodbye"

After 24 fabulous years it is time to hang up the baking trays and aprons for my next journey in life; "retirement".

Words will never express the gratitude I have for the past 24 years making your favourite biscuits, fruit mince pies and savoury crackers and parmesans.
We've come into your homes, been there for your special occasions, gift giving for that special friend and family member and for that special treat when life called for love in a biscuit, thank you from the depth of my heart, it has been such a pleasure and honour.

I know I shouldn't mention names but a huge thanks to these wonderful friends who helped get me here: Roddy, Clinton, Jane and Sonia, you are all so very loved; thank you.

Just one more, and the most treasured and loved, my beautiful late husband Billy who encouraged me and believed in me, thank you my darling, we did it!

It's not too late!!

Michel will be opening the Biscuit Bakery for sales on Monday 21st December from 9am - 5pm behind 36 McGrath Street, Castlemaine - follow the signs!

If you can't make it there - please head to (73 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine) open Sunday 9am - 5pm, Monday 7am - 8pm and Tuesday from 6.30am - 5pm.

They have Michel's full Christmas range as well as Olive Oil Crackers and Chocolate Biscuits - perfect for Christmas.

And from there on, it's retirement time for Michel.... and she's more than earned a well deserved rest.

Things got real today in the Biscuit Bakery. We completed the final ever Sweet Biscuit Bake including Michel's Fruit Mince Pies and Petites.

There were tears and emotions as we watched Michel place the final stars on her first ever products. What an absolute privilege to be there to share in that moment.

So what does that mean?? If you haven’t already, get yourself down to the Biscuit Boulevard ASAP to ensure you don't miss out as once they're sold, there will be no more.

Production is in overdrive at Michel's Biscuit Bakery!

Big thanks to all of you who came and purchased your goodies at Sunday's Castlemaine Farmers Market - Michel is so grateful for everyone's support.

Couldn't get there? That's OK, there's still time to:

~ Pop into the bakery directly to purchase your goodies; Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm (rear of 36 McGrath Street, Castlemaine - follow the signs and smells!)

~ Online via Michel's website (castlemainefinebiscuitco.com.au) until online orders close on Wednesday 17th December at 5pm to ensure delivery prior to Christmas.

Some items are limited so be sure to organise your order sooner rather than later.

I felt so lucky to be in the Biscuit Bakery this week as the Biscette Team created the most amazing smells (and tastes!) I've ever experienced.
They're called Vanilla and Hazelnut Shortbread.

How two small in size biscuits can have such an incredible smell & taste is testament to Michel's beautiful recipes & use of high quality ingredients. And the added skills of Biscettes Loretta and Kristina 🔥

Do yourself a favour and get your hands on some - the only regret you'll have is that they'll be no more in less than four weeks time!

Only FIVE weeks remaining of biscuit production so I HIGHLY suggest you stock up now!! Don't leave it until the last week as some products are limited! And yes, they have 3 - 6 months shelf life thanks to our sealing machine.

~ MY SWEET WILLIAMS ~

These delicious shortbread biscuits are dedicated to Michel's husband, soul-mate and best friend Billy. He was the love of her life and always will be.

They fell in love the moment they met and were together for almost 24 years before he lost his battle with cancer.

Michel believes he's always around - loving and encouraging her - so what a beautiful legacy these biscuits are.

I will never tire of the incredible smell of the shortbreads as they come out of the oven; French vanilla intoxicating the senses - what a treat!

Direct biscuit sales are available at the Biscuit Bakery for another SIX weeks until the bakery closes as Michel retires.
