Clothiers Creek came together for our inaugural community Christmas Party, and what a night! Long-time locals and brand-new neighbours all connecting, celebrating, and building something special. So grateful for this community. Better together! 🎄

Neighbours helping neighbours, that’s what community is all about, what Raven Place has proudly fostered

We moved to Clothiers Creek, just before the 2022 floods, we’d never lived rural before, and had no idea what to expect. Little Clothiers Creek became a raging torrent. We were cut off for days with no power or water.

It was thanks to the generosity of our neighbours, that we got through.

The highway was blocked off, we were so proud that a nearby resident of the overpass made a sausage sizzle for the stranded cars.

One neighbour ran a long extension cord from their solar battery, that we were able to turn on for a few hours a day to have a shower and keep our fridge cold.

That experience showed us just how important connection and community really are.

We experienced great loss at the same time, Shinji lost his entire business at Chinderah with 3m of water destroying his tools, templates and infrastructure

Since then, we’ve faced many natural disasters in the short time we’ve lived at Raven Place, and with each one, we’ve become a little more prepared, a little more connected, and a lot more grateful for the people around us.

That’s why we’re so thankful to our neighbour Jo, who put herself forward to bring the Murwillumbah CORE Inc. Street Coordinator Program to our area.

The new CORE kit will be set up at .place when disaster strikes, wonderful asset that helps bring our community together, build resilience, and ensure that no one is left behind.

• Torch and Headlamp
• Gazebo/table/chairs/signage
• Cleaning supplies

Our community can come and charge their phones, take supplies, get first aid help, a known place to gather, pool resources, lend a hand and listen.

Jo as our community coordinator receives 6 hours of training some of which includes

• First Aid Training
• CB UHF Radio training
• Monday.com training

Here’s to programs like MCoRe and neighbours like Jo who step up, and to the power of community that keeps us all strong. 🙌

Calendula Tallow & Calendula Oil

A project proudly grown and gently crafted in collaboration with Rachael from Life a Little Greener .

Our organic calendula flowers are lovingly grown and harvested here at .place.farm by Rachael, then slowly dehydrated using our BenchFoodsdehydratot

Our luxurious tallow is rendered from local, grass-fed Speckle Park beef. It’s purified over seven slow cycles, before our calendula is infused directly into the tallow, ensuring the richest concentration of calendula’s natural resins.

Our Calendula Oil is made by infusing the same organic calendula flowers into certified organic Nambucca Macnuts macadamia oil, allowing time to gently draw out the plant’s deep healing qualities.

Rich in colour and care, these deep orange balms and oils embody the potency of calendula’s natural resins, a reflection of time, the land, the seasons, and the hands that made them.

Available in 100ml bottles and 50gram tins.
