❤️ Remembering Ray Findlay ❤️
I wanted to share a story about Ray Findlay, a customer and friend of Supreme Meats
Nearly 14 years ago, when I first opened the butcher shop, Ray Findlay walked through the doors and became my very first customer.
I still remember serving Ray that day. We had a great conversation, and from that moment on, Ray remained a loyal customer right up until the day he passed.
And here’s the funny part… my very first sale in business wasn’t even meat! 😂 Ray bought a bottle of pasta sauce and paid me with a $5 note.
That $5 note is still sitting safely in my wallet today. I’ve kept it all these years because it represents so much more than just my first sale in Bussiness, It reminds me of where Supreme Meats began and of the people who helped get it to where it is today.
People like Ray are the reason running a small business becomes so much more than simply turning up to work every day. Over the years, customers become friends, familiar faces become part of your life, and some leave a mark that you never forget.
Ray was an absolute gentleman. He was a loyal customer, always up for a conversation, and someone I genuinely looked forward to seeing.
It’s not often in life that you come across people like Ray, and I feel very lucky that our paths crossed nearly 14 years ago.
Ray will be sadly missed by many, and my deepest condolences go to Ray’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Thank you, Ray, for being my very first customer, for your loyalty over all those years, and for being part of the Supreme Meats story.
That little $5 note will always remind me of where it all began.
