Thank you to everyone who entered our Art Competition! The Easter Events theme was Nature, and we were blown away by the creativity and talent on display across all age groups.

We were proud to award first and second prizes in multiple age categories, and you can see some of our wonderful winners pictured below. Every artwork was absolutely amazing, and we’re so grateful to everyone who took the time to be part of it.

A massive thank you also goes to Ali from Creek to Coast Real Estate for sponsoring our Art Competition, because of Ali we were able to give out some wonderful prizes. Ali’s support for art in the community—and for the community more broadly—helped make the day possible in so many ways. We truly couldn’t have done it without him.

Thank you all again for making this event so special. We’re already looking forward to our next Art Competition at our Christmas event on 5 December—stay tuned for the theme!

We would just like to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to the Coast Guard Tin Can Bay QF17 and our local Fireys from the Tin Can Bay Fire Brigade for coming down to our recent Community Day and spending time with our community.

Taking time out of your day to connect with locals, answer questions, and remind everyone that you’re there when it truly matters doesn’t go unnoticed.

Moments like this matter more than people realise. It’s not just about emergencies, it’s about presence, reassurance, and building that quiet trust within the community.

We’re so grateful for everything you do behind the scenes and on the front line. The early call-outs, the long hours, the situations most of us never see… and yet you still show up for community days like this with a smile and open conversations.

We’d absolutely love to have you back again.

And to our community, these legends rely on support more than most people realise. If you get the chance, give their pages a follow, keep up to date with what they do, and support them however you can. Below are links if you would like to make a donation. It all makes a difference.

It takes a village… and right now, ours needs a few more hands.

We’re holding an open meeting on Sunday 26th April at 9:30am at the Country Club, and we’d love to see you there.

This isn’t just another meeting — it’s a chance to help shape something that truly supports and brings joy to our community.

We’re currently looking for VOLUNTEER organisers. The kind of people who are happy to step in, take on tasks and roles, share ideas, and help get things done behind the scenes. Because the truth is, without more people stepping up, continuing to run our Community Day is going to get really tough.

If you came along to our first event, had a wander, supported a stallholder, or thought “this is such a great thing for our area” — this is your moment to be part of it.

We are wanting to grow and expand and bring more interactive options to our community day and need the help and hands to do so.

If you can make the meeting, please let us know by Friday 17th April, so we can confirm numbers. And if you can’t make it but still want to help, send us an email at [email protected] or a msg through Facebook and tell us what you’d be keen to do.

Just to give you an idea some things we would love help with are:
- Marketing and Communications
- Social Media Management
- Volunteer Coordinator and team
- Event Day Volunteers
- Programmer / Creative Curator
- MC
- Sponsorship / Donations Lead Organiser
- Ideas
- Grants Manager
- Setup & Packup Volunteers
- Clean up crew

Let’s keep this Cooloola Coast Community Day going, together. 😃

Meet Jenni from Wicked Wix 'n'Wax bringing her beautiful range of handcrafted candles and diffusers, each one made with care using soy wax, essential oils, crystals, and thoughtfully chosen flowers and herbs.

Not only is she a talented stallholder, but she’s also one of the organisers behind the scenes, and we want to give a massive thank you to Jenny, because without her, this day would not be possible.

Come on down tomorrow, Saturday 28th March, 10am to 4pm, to meet Jenny, explore her creations and enjoy everything else happening at the event.
