So pleased to pick our first tomato slicer before xmas!
Excited to try our first "Granny's Throwing" Tomato. Bit of an ugly looking tomato with is heavy ribs and wrinkled skin. The best of both worlds this tomato variety is great for making pasta sauces, add to your favorite salads or sliced onto your sandwiches. If you're a gourmet cook this is the tomato to grow. Proof you can grow large tomatoes here in Coonabarabran.
This year we will be saving our seeds for this tomato variety (all going well) so you can grow them next season. Will let you know how it tastes!

We have some squash for sale. Organically grown and picked this evening. Our price $8.50 Kg, these beauties just under a kilo $7.05. In Dubbo today yellow squash going for $13 Kg!

We have been eating and loving these, and they are delicious just simply steamed on their own.
