Truffle, bonbon, or praline? 🍫

Turns out even chocolate lovers mix these up all the time and honestly, the confusion makes sense. The same word can mean totally different things depending on which country you're in!

Here's the quick version:
🟤 Truffle: rustic ganache ball, rolled in cocoa powder
🟤 Bonbon: bite-sized chocolate with a shell + filling (this is most of what's in our gift boxes!)
🟤 Praline: nut paste in France, filled chocolate in Belgium, a pecan candy in the Southern US

Most people already know what chocolate they love. They just do not realise it yet.

At Kakawa, the first question we ask is simple: what fruit do you naturally reach for?

Berry lovers gravitate toward bright origins like Madagascar 64%. Tropical fruit fans connect with the warmer notes in Australian 70%. Dried fruit lovers feel right at home with São Thomé 70%.

Those fruity notes do not come from added fruit. They come from the cacao itself.
