Our lovely neighbour Maureen — aka Leo’s adopted grandma ❤️ — has been ducksitting Leo’s sick little Ducky while he’s at school.

Today, unfortunately, she was going to be busy and wasn’t going to be able to carry little Ducky around with her everywhere, so Leo was very concerned. He heard us planning for Ducky to spend the morning on her patio.

Poor Leo was absolutely heartbroken at the thought of his little friend being there alone. He was crying before going to school :(

He has barely left Ducky’s side these last few days, carrying him everywhere, cuddling him and caring for him. He says..."Mum, if he dies, at least he has had some wonderful days close to me.”

Well at the end... adopted Grandma Maureen decided to take Ducky everywhere with her....
Ducky is now spending the day being carried around by Grandma Maureen... including a trip to the HAIRDRESSER. 🤣🦆💇‍♀️

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful neighbour who loves Leo and all his and my crazy little animals just as much as we do.

❤️ GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY ❤️

Since opening our doors, we’ve donated over 700 × $5 vouchers to local community events, fundraisers and organisations... and we’re so proud to be able to do it. 🥰

You all know how much we love being part of this community. The support we’ve received over the years first with Leo's Little Shop and now since opening L.A. has been incredible. ❤️

So whenever we have the opportunity to give a little something back and support the events, fundraisers and causes that bring our community together, we’re always more than happy to be involved.

This week 270 vouchers are heading out! 🎉

💃 100 vouchers for the Local District Dancing Festival
🎗️ 170 vouchers for the National Breast Cancer Foundation

It might be something small, but being able to give back to the community means so much to our family. 🥰

Thank you Gatton and Lockyer Valley for supporting our family businesses and allowing us to be part of such a wonderful community. ❤️🌈

Pho soups are soooo good at Gatton Bakehouse that we even took little Ducky out for dinner with us after a super busy day 😅🤣🦆🍜

Little Ducky hasn’t been well for the last couple of days. We believe he may have contracted botulism, but thankfully he seems to be slowly getting better. ❤️‍🩹
Poor Leo has had a really sad couple of days after losing one of his ducklings. 💔 Since this little one became sick too, Leo barely lets him out of his sight. He’s been carrying him around everywhere and even sleeping beside him for the last two nights. ❤️
So naturally… Ducky had to come out for pho too. 😂🦆
Fingers crossed our little fighter keeps improving. 🤞❤️

🚨 WANTED – THE DRAKE HAS ESCAPED AGAIN! 🦆 🚨🤦🙉

Looks like this cheeky boy is on another adventure! 😂

If anyone finds him, please get in touch. We’re more than happy to give him a safe home while we try to find his owners or if his owners can’t be found, we’d also be very happy to give him a forever home. ❤️🦆

This friendly drake made his way to the Local Gatton Pool for a little swim! 😅💦

He is now safe and being well cared for, but we’re hoping to find his owners and get him back home. ❤️
