A few of us traveled to Melbourne last week for Australian Meat Industry Council - National 2026 Meat Excellence Awards where we were thrilled to receive the Category Champion trophy for our Red Wine & Garlic Salami.

We won gold and silver awards for all products we entered -

It takes a team effort to produce great quality products - from our leadership team through to our Production and Packing crews.

Our crews smile on good days and tough days - see those cheery smiles from some of our Production crew during a recent fire evacuation.

We appreciate the effort our team put in to make great smallgoods, and we’re delighted to see this rewarded by national recognition of excellence.

There were trays of jerky as far as the eye could see lined up tonight.

It was good to see there was some left after our staff visited the trays earlier!

We know our red gum smoke ovens have been working overtime when there are piles of soot to deal with at the end of the week.

This week’s mettwurst is gleaming through the gloom of the oven. They’re having a quick shower before moving on to start the process of drying.

Not all heroes wear capes, and we definitely witnessed that today.

With the temperature at 45.8, two incredibly skilled technicians (heroes), Toby and Michael, worked on factory plant on our roof to make sure our refrigeration could withstand the extreme conditions.

It takes a whole team to keep a factory running to make great products. Today was their day to shine!

Our factory staff are Santa’s helpers at this time of year as we build up stock each week to make sure there is enough mettwurst and salami to fill the festive tables.

We've brought back an old favourite, the Stikaroo. We're producing this 375g kangaroo mettwurst and if you can't find it in a store, you can order from our website, and we'll post it to you!

We've also created a kangaroo pepperoni - known as Pepperoo - so you might like to try that too.
