This is one for the dip-and-spread enthusiasts.

A beautifully smooth cultured cashew spread with preserved lemon for a bright, tangy hit, fresh dill for a little herby goodness and premium olive oil bringing everything together. Spread it generously over sourdough, add it to a grazing board, dollop it alongside roasted veggies or crackers, or use it anywhere you'd normally reach for a creamy dip.

Plant-based, beautifully fresh and very easy to become obsessed with.

One of the little signs that winter is finally packing its bags.

Fresh asparagus is starting to make its way back into season, and honestly, it doesn’t need much help to be delicious. Grill it with olive oil and lemon, roast it with parmesan, wrap it in prosciutto, toss it through pasta or serve it on toast with a runny poached egg.

Simple, fresh and very welcome after a long Geelong winter.

have been absolutely flying off the shelves lately 👀

Soft, chewy dates coated in fun candy-inspired flavours, they’re the sort of snack that somehow feels a little more sensible while still fixing the sweet craving.
We’ve got a mix of flavours in store, but honestly, they’re not hanging around long enough for us to confidently list them 😂

If you spot a bag, grab it. Future you will be very pleased.

Tender stems, crispy little florets and one of the easiest ways to get something green onto the dinner table.

Char it on the BBQ, roast it with garlic and parmesan, toss it through pasta, add it to a stir-fry or keep things simple with olive oil, lemon and a good pinch of salt.
And unlike its bigger broccoli cousin, broccolini somehow feels fancy with almost zero additional effort. We don't make the rules.

A little Italian icon that's been made with the same closely guarded family recipe for generations.

Fabbri Amarena are wild cherries preserved in a rich, beautifully sweet syrup, with that unmistakable balance of sweet and tart that makes them dangerously good.

Spoon them over vanilla ice cream, cheesecake or panna cotta, add them to cocktails, serve with cheese, use them in baking… or stand at the fridge eating them straight from the jar. We support all approaches.

And once the cherries are gone, that famous blue and white Fabbri jar is far too pretty to throw away.

Lauren Morgan Zucchini, Leek and Pancetta Fettuccini. The perfect weeknight pasta. Leeks add a subtle sweetness and zucchini and lemon keep this carbonara on the lighter side. No cream needed.

Recipe
150g thick cut pancetta diced
1 leek white part cut into half moons
5 cloves garlic finely chopped
pinch chili flakes
2 zucchinis thinly sliced into rounds
4 egg yolks
80g finely grated parmesan
2 tbsp water
400g fettuccini
Zest of half a lemon and squeeze of lemon juice

Cook pancetta in 2tbsp olive oil over medium heat until just crispy. Remove from the pan and add leeks with a pinch of salt. Cook stirring for 5 minutes. Add garlic, chilli and zucchini and cook stirring for a further 5 minutes. Add pancetta back to the pan.

Seperate yolks from egg white. Add parmesan and 2 tbsp cold water to egg yolks and stir to combine with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Remove 3/4 cup pasta water from the pot and slowly pour into the egg yolk to temper them, mixing with a fork as you go.

Once everything is ready to go, lift pasta directly from water into your leek and zucchini pan on low heat. Slowly pour in the egg yolk mix, lifting and tossing the fettuccini as you go. Stir over low heat for a minute or two so the sauce thickens slightly and coats the pasta.

Add lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with extra parmesan and cracked pepper.

Throwing it back to our birthday celebrations last year, when the store was buzzing, the tastings were flowing and everyone suddenly had a very important reason to walk past the sample tables three or four times. 👀

There was plenty to try, plenty happening around the store and lots of our favourite faces popping in to celebrate with us. We love a normal day at Geelong Fresh, but give us an excuse to put on a few tastings and make a fuss and we're very happy people.

Looking at these photos has us thinking we might be due for another party…
