🥓 BOKS Bacon & Cheesy Potato Smash

Fair warning: make more than you think you’ll need. These have a habit of disappearing while you’re still standing at the oven. 😂

Crispy potatoes, gooey melted cheese and proper BOKS Traditional Streaky Bacon — dry cured and cold smoked over Tasmanian oak. Simple ingredients, serious flavour.

You’ll need:
🥔 1 kg baby potatoes
🥓 BOKS Traditional Streaky Bacon
🧀 1 cup grated tasty cheese
🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
🌿 2 spring onions, sliced
🧂 Salt & cracked pepper
🥣 Sour cream to serve (optional)

How to make it:

1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain.
2. Pop them onto a lined baking tray and gently squash each one. Therapeutic, really. 😆
3. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, then bake at 220°C for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
4. While the potatoes are doing their thing, cook the BOKS bacon until beautifully crisp, then roughly chop it.
5. Top the potatoes generously with bacon and grated cheese. And by generously, we mean don’t be shy. 🥓🧀
6. Return to the oven for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
7. Finish with spring onions and a dollop of sour cream.

Then put the tray down, call everyone over and get your share quickly. We can’t be held responsible for missing potatoes. 😂

🥓 BOKS BACON RECIPE — BACON & CHEESE BREAKFAST TOASTIES

Simple, crispy and packed with flavour.

You’ll need:
🥓 BOKS Bacon
🍞 Sourdough or your favourite bread
🧀 Tasty cheese
🍅 Fresh tomato
🥚 Fried egg
🥬 A little rocket or spinach
🌶️ Your favourite relish or sauce

Cook the BOKS Bacon until beautifully golden. Toast the bread, layer it up with cheese, tomato, egg and plenty of bacon, then finish with a little relish.

No fancy tricks needed — when the bacon’s this good, keep the rest simple. 😉
