🥦🥬On board we have a selection of your favourite items, Caulis, Broccoli, Asparagus, Beetroot bunches, Dutch carrots and rainbow carrots, as well as Sugarloaf, silverbeet, Broccolini and much more!

🍊Fruit, we have mandarins, passion fruit, pink lady, granny and missile apples, Australian naval oranges, ruby grapefruit, lemons, pears, strawberries, watermelon, rockmelon, pineapple and red papaya.

Welcome to the first week of winter!! ❄️
As the weather cools it is now the time to load up on nutrient dense produce that keeps the immune system pumping!

Thankfully, Australia has you covered! 🇦🇺

Vitamin C

🥇 Straight to the top of the list is 🏆 Red capsicum, the hidden champion, which has more Vitamin C than most fruits!

🥝 Kiwi fruit is a close second, crushing oranges with nearly double the amount of vitamin C! Add in the extra potassium, vitamin E and Vitamin K these little green nuggets of joy pack a solid punch!

🥦 Broccoli and broccolini are veggie winners for supporting the immune system, both are loaded with vitamin C (about 89 milligrams per 100 grams) which is nearly as much as kiwi fruit!

🍊Mandarins, lemons, grapefruits are all vitamin rich and we should all embrace the seasonal selections throughout winter to keep us as healthy as possible!

☔️ What another rainy week on the Coast! ☔️

🍜 It definitely feels like soup season right now and pumpkin soup with sourdough sounds perfect! 🎃 Fun Fact, Will buys the J*p Pumpkins green (unripe) and oversees the ageing process himself to achieve that deep orange, full flavoured pumpkin taste that we all love!

📝 Quick recipe - Pumpkin Soup: J*p pumpkin, onion, crushed garlic cloves, stock, oil, cream or coconut milk, season & serve with warm toasted sourdough.

🍊The last few weeks of Imperial mandarins are upon us now and once again Will has sourced a grower that is producing the best this season! Great for lunchboxes or as a healthy snack throughout the day!

🫙 We are on another new delivery of the Quincey Jones preserves range after selling out THREE times! Top sellers and with amazing feedback, Pineapple jam, Ploughman’s Pickle, Rhubarb & Strawberry jam & Mixed Berry jam. All natural and using Aussie fruit grown along the Murray river!

We await their Strawberry & Raspberry jams to add to the mix :)

🥭 For that sweet summer feeling the JC’s Mango & Papaya spears are a weekly top seller, and in our egg selection the Organic BIG BOY jumbos are the top pick for our health loving families!

Our native raspberry bush came to us as a tiny 2cm cutting, look at her now, about to have her first crop! Same as our citrus trees, tiny half metre sticks, now packed full of fruit thanks to our bees! The eggplants have taken a bit to master and the herbs 🤯 getting the Coriander & Dill in the right half light has been a mission but so far so good! It feels good to see it all come together 🤗🤗🤗

Hello Fresh Families

What a rainy week on the Coast!! ☔️ Glad to have that behind us!

🍄‍🟫 This week we have added a shiitake mushroom to the mix! One of the highest nutrient dense mushrooms, packed with copper, selenium, and B vitamins. Brilliant for heart health and immunity - we have SIX packets only!

📝 Quick recipe - Sauté sliced Shiitake, capsicum (all colours) broccoli, snow peas in sesame oil, add a dash of Segreti J*panese Ginger Garlic Soy and voila - 10 minutes to make, minutes to devour and days of antioxidant super powers! 🦸🏻‍♂️

🍓Queensland Strawberries are short due to the weather on the Sunny Coast, but we have left the price alone as we want to stick with this grower as their strawberries are superb!

💓 Pomegranates are available - another super high antioxidant fruit! Loaded with Punicalagins, which are great for inflammation and supporting heart health. High in vitamin C, fibre, and potassium, some research showing they can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

📝 The seeds are crunchy, and sweet/tart and can be used sprinkled over yoghurt or granola, blended in smoothies and perfect in salads. They can also be frozen for a cold snack and the juice can be used as a glaze for roasted chicken or veggies!
(*Punicalagin’s are powerful antioxidants unique to pomegranates. They help fight inflammation and protect your cells from damage)

Well, today turned out a little differently🤨🤨🤨 we are normally flood prepared- our insurance giving us plenty of heads up via texts. So today, with no warning Will headed off to deliver and Boom! Next minute I’m flooded in! We made the choice to keep delivering and see it out, and eventually Will got home after leaving the van at our neighbours and wading through the water! Luckily I had made some more Monday roasted veggies to warm him up after a hot shower…. But really??? Who saw that coming today 🧐🤔🤨
