and love. Jimalie is a trusted Australian owned brand producing a growing range of premium quality coconut products. The Jimalie label first appeared on shelves in 2014, but the seeds were planted quite literally on our coconut farm in the Philippines more than 65 years ago. The name Jimalie is a tribute both to him, and the location of the family plantation in Alijal (pronounced Alie-hal) in Davao, Southern Philippines. Through dedication and hard work, Jim developed the property into a working coconut farm, creating an opportunity for his young family to migrate to Australia. Growing up, I travelled to the Philippines often with my father and saw first-hand the passion and commitment he put into the farm, providing employment to locals and assisting with infrastructure projects, making a positive difference to the lives of other families. When he passed away in 2005, I wanted to create a lasting legacy in his memory, at the time I didn’t know how. Soon after, I met my wife Victoria and in 2007 we welcomed our first child, Rylan, who was to become the inspiration and motivation of what Jimalie is today. Diagnosed with Autism at age 2, Rylan paved the way for my family to understand the true value of health food. To help manage his health our family embraced a diet of real, organic wholefoods - including that of coconut products I knew and loved. Welcoming another son and daughter, we are now a family of five, and this fourth generation of family has motivated a return to our roots with a more traditional and natural way of eating and living. This inspired us to create Jimalie, allowing us to honour Jim’s legacy, and share the natural goodness of organic coconuts with you. The family farm remains as a symbol of Jim’s hard work. Jimalie brings together everything Jim and his farm represents – a healthy, happy, inspiring life and a fair go for all.
