Well… here it is. The big news we’ve been hinting at 🙌

After a lot of thought, many conversations, and a whole heap of emotion, we’re ready to share that we have officially sold the shop.

As of 2nd March 2026, Haylee, along with her partner Jacob and their two boys, will take over as the new owners of the Gunning Butcher Shop.

This place has been such a huge part of our lives for the past (almost) eight years. So, so many early mornings, long days, big laughs, the most loyal customers — and truly the best, most loyal staff we could have ever asked for. What started as a business became so much more, and the people are what made it what it is.

When it came time to think about the future of the shop, there was one thing that mattered more than anything else to us: that it stayed in the right hands. Someone who cared about quality, about customers, and about the community.

Haylee ticks every single box. ✅

Many of you will already know Haylee from her time working with us. She truly lives and breathes butchery and has an incredible work ethic. Along with Jacob and their boys, we honestly couldn’t imagine a better family to take this on.

This isn’t a goodbye just yet, and you’ll still see familiar faces around the shop — but it is a new chapter. One we’re incredibly proud of and genuinely excited to watch unfold.

Thank you to every single person who has supported us over the years. Your loyalty, support, chats, and encouragement have meant so much!
