Welcome to European Meats!

We specialise in European cured meats from Italy and Spain. This tradition of curing meat has been around for thousands of years and it is still the best known way to preserve and create the fines tasting meat available today.

Leif grew up on a small farm in western Norway where cured meat was made locally on the farm and common on the menu. As kids we could not wait for Christmas when the first leg of ham was ready to eat. There is nothing more special than the ritual of "opening" the new cured ham by gently and carefully slice it and share it with your best friends and family, accompanied by some good quality bread and red wine.

Every year for the last 10 years, Leif has sourced his own special Christmas (and birthday) present, a massive 8kg Prosciutto ham from Italy. Fine cured meats from Europe is a passion and we would like to bring this enjoyment to all our friends in Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia.
