🍯 Where’s our honey lovers at?

Tomorrow, the Beeman himself β€” Duane from Honey & Hive β€” will be attending his first market stall of the year, and it’s the perfect opportunity to show him some much-needed local support.

For those who may not know, over the past 12 months Varroa mites have made their way into Queensland and have had a devastating impact on honey bee colonies across SEQ β€” including Duane’s, with so many sadly lost.

Duane’s love and passion for his bees is what keeps him fighting through an incredibly tough battle. It’s also a timely reminder of just how important bees are and how much their hard work contributes to the growth of so many foods we enjoy every day. Without them, the impact is enormous.

There has never been a better time to support the amazing work Honey & Hive does behind the scenes, while also enjoying the goodness of pure, natural honey.

You can find Honey & Hive at the Ipswich Plant & Lifestyle Fair at Nicholas Street tomorrow from 9am to 1pm.

Please head along and show them your support! πŸ’›πŸ

I first found Varroa in my hives in September 2025 since then I have lost 50 honey production hives 😭, not only that of the 45 new colonies I have started I have only about 5 left…. I have spent thousands of dollars since September on treatments & hive management. I have had next to no honey to harvest since Christmas which has also ment thousands in lost honey sales. Times are tough money is tight & there is definitely no light at the end of tunnel just yet .

Beekeepers in SEQ are getting smashed for sometime now , we are in this together and hopefully together we get to come out the other side of this stronger as a collective 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
