I am set for the long weekend!

A big thank you to Sam at LBO Butchery, he is a true superstar who always looks after us with quality meat for the BBQ. Staying local this weekend means supporting local businesses, local jobs and helping keep money circulating in our own community…and where else would you rather be?

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable long weekend. If you're heading away, remember it's double demerits, so take your time, drive safely and look out for one another on the roads.

As for me, I'm looking forward to spending some time tucked away up river with family, enjoying good food, good company and making the most of a beautiful part of our Shire.

🏆 He’s done it again — three years running 🏆

Huge shoutout to Robert Osmond for taking out the beef competition at the Kempsey Show once again. The consistency, the standard, the work behind it — it shows.

This is the kind of cattle we back in our shop year round. Raised right, finished right, no shortcuts.

Rob, you’re the hardest worker I know and it shows in the quality you turn out. Well deserved.

These will be hitting the counter next week.

If your out and about Macleay Valley Mustangs are running crab races at hat head bowling club come get into. Auction started at 3!

There it is guys the official race lineup. There has been some late changes due to the conditions. Kane from Hat Head Seafood tells us there are some real speedsters in the pack this year. He has sourced the fastest crabs in the Macleay valley. But who will win…. That’s the golden question. Carlos and Josh from Stone Real Estate Kempsey are warming up their vocal cords ready for the Auction. The awesome staff at Hat Head Bowling & Recreation Club are ready to look after everyone with beautiful meals and ice cold beverages. Don’t stress about transport home Rick from RNL buses has you covered with a bus leaving back to Kempsey at approximately 5pm . Looking forward to seeing you all out there today to support the mighty Mustangs 🐴🐴.

A big acknowledgment to the young blokes moving up at L-Bo Butchery.

Not many of you realise but this is our whole crew. Sam the owner, Gus, Zaiyn & Lachlan. No fancy behind the scenes people no back up plans. Just 4 young lads hooking in and giving it a crack.

Exciting times for Gus & Zaiyn, stepped up into their third and final year of being apprentices! Plenty of early morning I’m sure you both love. A big congratulations on getting this far lads not much longer to go! Hang in there and keep kicking goals along the way.

A massive congratulations to Lachlan who’s officially signed up with us as a first year apprentice and in his way to becoming a butcher in no time.

Keen to see what this year brings for not only L-bo butchery but us as a team! Keep up the great work lads 🫶

L-Bo Butchery Notice

Just a quick update for everyone — the shop will be closed Monday March 9th for maintenance while we carry out some work behind the scenes.

Apologies for the late notice, I completely forgot to put it up on Facebook earlier.

We’ll be back open as normal Tuesday March 10th and ready to go.
