It’s actually our 5th Birthday this week!!!

We only remembered thanks to our wonderful neighbours who pointed it out.

Over the years, we’ve watched your families grow, shared conversations about life both in and beyond this town, worked alongside so many incredible team members, and a few who may never leave us 😉.

Thank you for all the great times. We’ve loved visiting your local farms, eating at your cafés and restaurants, having you create cakes for our special occasions, and allowing us to be part of your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between.

Every Christmas, we receive a bottle of red wine called "Butchers Friend", and it always reminds us of the friendships and connections that have come from being part of this community.

A special shout out to our neighbours for reminding us it was our birthday. Five years in business and we forgot the balloons this year. Sorry 😅

We can’t say it has always been easy, but the amazing food, the people, and this town have made every challenge worthwhile.

We’ve found some photos even from our first day with a Congratulations cake which our Charlie tried to steal and of some of those moments that made it special.

Thank you for your support, your loyalty, and for being part of our journey. We’re incredibly grateful for the last five years and excited for what comes next.

Kind reminder that today is the 1st of June, winter has officially arrived, and our butcher reckons there’s no better time to remind everyone to try his sausages.

But in all seriousness, the colder weather means it's time for comfort food season. Think slow-cooked lamb shanks falling off the bone, hearty local pies, warming casseroles, and beautiful roasts shared with family and friends.

To all our local Kiama businesses…

Times are already tough enough without another unexpected cost or challenge being thrown your way.

As many of you now know, Kiama Council will be ceasing commercial waste collection, which has left a lot of local businesses wondering what happens next and how much this is all going to cost.

Rather than everyone trying to sort this out alone, we’ve been working behind the scenes to bring businesses together and hopefully secure a collective solution with a new provider at a discounted group rate for businesses across the Kiama LGA.

We’re also reaching out to Shellharbour Council and exploring every possible avenue to help make this transition easier for our business community.

A big thank you to Michael from Cin Cin for stepping up and advocating on behalf of local businesses. Michael contacted Council CEO Jane Stroud and received a positive response about the possibility of a one month extension to give businesses more time for collective bargaining and planning.

That little bit of extra time could make a huge difference for many people.
If your business is affected, please know you’re not alone in this. We’re trying to keep everyone informed and work towards a practical, affordable outcome together.
