FEATURED STALLHOLDER

We would like to focus on another talented maker Tony Barnes, in our Makers area ‘up on the hill’. Enter the market via the Church entrance gate if you’ve never ventured up to this section before!

Tony is a Macedon Ranges legend and established Moonshine Pottery Moonshine Pottery in Malmsbury in 1977. He has been making a living from his work ever since. The high quality ceramics are handmade using a high fired stoneware clay that is fired in a gas kiln to 1300 degrees c.

He makes his own glazes and is heavily influenced by traditional Chinese-style ceramics. Tony makes a wide range of functional and one off pieces and hopes to keep making ceramics for a few more years to come!
