The earths natural systems ensure all species have the resources required to make shelter, get water and access food.

No money is required, no dependence to other humans values and made up rules. Natures Laws are undisputable and when you put your labour and care towards the ecosystem that provides you with everything, you'll get fresh air, clean water, nutritious food and resources to make shelter.

If more people aren't contributing to the ecosystem in any tangible way, then more are taking than adding creating an imbalance of resources available for all.

Turf Replacement.

Im terrible with photos because I often work by myself and am often forgetting about taking photos until I've already started. Lucky for me the owner and close friend were kind enough to share their photos with me this time.

Initially I was considering digging up all the turf but that was going to take forever by hand so I ended up scalping the lawn, raking back and poisoning. Levelled the yard with crusher dust and lined with landscaping w**d mat. Added 20mm and 40mm stone and raked out. This 55m2 area now requires less watering and maintenance, provides adequate drainage and can be made into a beautiful pot garden.

Summer & Winter

Why, when, and how to prune trees and shrubs πŸŒ³βœ‚οΈ
Why Prune
1. Plant health:
- Remove diseased or damaged branches to prevent the spread of disease.
- Improve air circulation and light pe*******on.
2. Safety:
- Eliminate branches that may pose a danger to people or structures.
3. Aesthetics:
- Maintain a harmonious and desired shape.
- Encourage abundant blooming.
4. Productivity:
- Stimulate the growth of new branches and flowers.
- Increase fruit production in fruit trees.

When to Prune
1. Dormant season:
- Winter: For most trees and shrubs, decide to prune during winter when the plant is dormant.
2. After flowering:
- Spring/Summer: For trees that bloom in spring, prune immediately after flowering.
3. Light pruning:
- All year round: Remove dead or damaged branches at any time of the year.

How to Prune
1. The right tools:
- Use clean, sharp pruning shears for small branches.
- Use a pruning saw for larger branches.
2. Correct cutting technique:
- Always cut above a node or bud facing outward.
- Make angled cuts to prevent water accumulation on the cut surface.
3. Removing branches:
- Remove crossing branches or those growing inward.
- Eliminate suckers (shoots at the base of the plant) and water sprouts (vigorous vertical shoots).
4. Amount of pruning:
- Do not prune more than one-third of the plant in a single session to avoid stress.

Additional tips 🌟
- Disinfection: Disinfect pruning tools between cuts to prevent disease spread.
- Training Pruning: For young trees, do light pruning to form a strong structure.

Following these tips will help you maintain healthy, safe, and beautiful trees and shrubs in your garden! 🌿🌳
