The role includes serving customers, operating checkouts, packing groceries and keeping the checkout area clean and organised.

We’re looking for team members who are punctual, have a positive attitude, follow instructions and take pride in providing great customer service. Previous retail or checkout experience would be an advantage.

WE’RE HIRING — STOREPERSON

IGA Local Grocer North Mackay – The Avenue is looking for a reliable and hardworking Storeperson to join our team.

Monday to Friday position with regular hours.

The role includes:

* Receiving and checking deliveries
* Unloading and organising stock
* Moving stock between storage and the shop floor
* Filling shelves and maintaining stock levels
* Keeping storage and receiving areas clean and organised
* Rotating stock and checking dates
* Assisting with general store duties as required

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is reliable and punctual
* Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Works efficiently and takes initiative
* Can work independently and as part of a team
* Is organised and takes pride in their work

Previous supermarket, warehousing or stock-handling experience would be an advantage.
