Welcome to the Royal Australian Air Force No 2 Squadron as it exercises its right to Freedom of entry to Maitland.
The Levee is closed this morning and will reopen following the ceremony & parade (10am)

Freedom of Entry is a centuries-old military tradition recognising the relationship between a city and a military unit. Historically, armed forces required permission to enter a city, with the granting of this privilege symbolising trust, friendship and mutual respect. Today, it remains one of the highest civic honours a city can bestow.
Our pie warmer is full, coffee ready to go and we welcome you to come and witness this historic event

Our Head Baker Geoff Germon, The Pie Minister! The Pie Wizard! He is absolutely one of Maitland’s living legends and his beautiful pies are one of Maitland’s best kept secrets, family pies. Beautiful on a winter’s evening!
Slow cooked, (10 hour cook on the meat) old school skills - handmade butter puff pastry and butter shortcrust
Made on premises with favourites such as Classic Beef, Beef, Bacon and Cheese, Chicken Leek and Potato, Beef and Mushroom, Moroccan Lamb and Beef and Pepper (etc etc). They are simply world class! Don’t argue, just pick one up! Unmissable, delicious, devour-able!
