Cabbages are in full bloom and as we have had a few frosty mornings they are sweet as. We have been making speck & cabbage risotto, miso goguchang & butter roasted pointy, okonomiyake or simply steamed with butter. Pick your colour and texture : purple, warrior, pointy or savoy, it’s the vogue vegetable of the year! See you Tuesday 3pm.

Beautiful rainbow chard right now. Off to Tuesday . We cooked it in a sweet pie on the weekend with raisins and apples by hugh fearnley wittingsal. A perfect picnic sweet pie. Who knew?

Late spring we plant native seedlings on the farm. Today it was snow gums, Blackwood, calistamon, and hairpin banksia from tubestock grown by volunteers for south east local landcare, even some by me! We love looking after our native forests alongside growing veg to eat for you ❤️. Last year a few got eaten by wallabies and wombats 🙄 but hopefully these tree guards will help more of these thrive.

How good is green! Lettuce, Brussel sprouts, daikon and springs looking lovely at the moment in the garden. We are about to get a bunch of cold days to sweeten everything up even more.

Autumn vibes on the farm.

Garlic 2026. We planted our garlic on the weekend. Beautiful friends came to help and the weather was perfect, even got some rain to water it in. We shook off the straw with a swim in the shoalhaven river and chatted and ate by the fire. Weary farmers today but bring on November harvest!
