The last varieties still hanging in. I planted late & we moved our patch to get sun for longer in Autumn. I’m still picking some strong stem’s in small numbers. We have gone from picking 300-400 stems a fortnight ago to 60 then to 40 stems this week. The Corrabell Zoe has only just blown a centre other stems are normal. The Flora-lie strawberry shortcake is pumping out lots of blooms, one even opened in a vase which surprised me. The cornflake has only just started flowering. Brian’s Dream is putting out some strong stems also. I feel like the peach stem is just random I think they are done. I’m not collecting seed this year, it’s to time consuming for me not enough outcome. I want strong varieties to sell flowers. I’m not a breeder. We don’t really get frosts here so far the experiment is good. I will plant a lot earlier this year though and maybe keep some to plant later around Christmas time x

My flower season is in its final weeks. I’m going to miss the early mornings harvesting. The buckets & buckets of beauty I get to deliver into florists magical hands & to customers so happy to have locally grown flowers for their home or gifting! On the other hand I’m so ready to wind down, have a break, clean my hands (that will stay clean), finish resetting the garden to over winter to do it all again in Spring! Thank you to everyone who has supported my small business this growing season. It has been such a joy, lots of lessons learned. I’m am very grateful ☺️

2026 / 2027 Autumn & Spring brides we want you! I am changing things up a bit & want to do weddings based around the cutting garden. That’s right using flowers grown by me, garden inspired & seasonal. Any florists on the mid north coast knows what a pain in the a% it is to get flowers from the markets. I don’t want to be stressing over having to order flowers that frankly aren’t as nice as what is grown right here on the beautiful mid north coast. I also have lots of local growers I can source from to top me up when needed. If this speaks to you reach out and take advantage of our unique position.
