🌟 Meet Emma Barron - Our New Occupational Therapist 🌟
Emma is a dedicated Mental Health OT with 7 years of experience. Specialising in paediatric and young adult clients with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and Autism, as well as mood disorders like ODD, Depression, and Anxiety,
Emma works with clients and their families from 18 months and older, focusing particularly on children, teenagers, and young adults. With a rich history of working with children facing learning difficulties, trauma, and emotional and behavioural challenges, Emma tailors therapy to meet each client's unique needs. She combines psychological theories, occupational therapy clinical reasoning, and a client-centered approach to ensure effective treatment.
Emma believes in a holistic approach, providing a mix of direct client work and stakeholder collaboration to support the participant's environment. As a clinical leader since 2021, Emma has been sharing her expertise through team training and clinician supervision, contributing to a positive and growth-oriented workplace culture.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys weekends spent reading, watching documentaries, and exploring nature. She values building genuine relationships and maintaining a positive environment in all her professional spaces, taking a "people-first" approach in all that she does.
