Tinned fish. A staple in almost every pantry, but a category that can be surprisingly hard to navigate.🐟
How was it caught? Where did it come from? Who caught and processed it? What else went into the tin?
That’s exactly why we do the digging for you.
First up in our Curation Charter series is Good Fish, a brand that’s been in our aisles since the very beginning.
Founder Camilla Mahoney set out to source fish from places where the species naturally thrives, while protecting the food cultures and communities that have worked with it for generations.
Their fish is responsibly wild-caught from managed fisheries, then hand-processed in Spain using traditional methods. The peeling and filleting is done entirely by skilled women, some of whom have spent a lifetime practising their craft.🎣
No chemicals in the processing or preserving. Fairly rewarded workers. Thoughtful fishing practices. And a product that respects the people, place and craft behind it.
It’s the whole picture we look for when we curate our aisles, and exactly why GOOD FISH has had a place in them since the beginning.👌
