To the Mums out there that are shaping those around them to be better, loved, nurturing, appreciated, protected and safe, today is for you.
Mums come in all different forms, whether you find yourself as the direct mother, the step mother, the grandmother, the single mother, the single father, the fill in mother, the mother in memories, the neighbour who inherits the blocks kiddies, it doesn't really matter, today is to show that you are seen.
Although a mother's duties are a full time role, day and night, we celebrate today, although it goes mostly unnoticed and under appreciated, you guys show up, never whinge and never expect things in return. Your programming is different, your intentions always pure, and executed with love in your heart.
My personal experience has altered, from transitioning from my own Mum becoming my best friend, and my partner going from my best friend into my idol, you guys are making me strive to be the best version of myself I can be.
That's the power of a Mum.
