As we slowly wind down the business, Chay and I are continuing to find ways of making ourselves useful.

With plenty of skills on offer, you might want to check out our farm Tweed & Flannel if you need one of the world's most abundant and useful materials. WOOD!

We're 'branching' out and offering On-Site Bandsaw Milling!
It's quick, efficient and we can come to you.
If you don't have any timber, we can supply it.

Fallen tree? Why not turn it into posts and fix that fence that the sheep keep getting out of, or mend your deck or make a pretty table?

We won't stop until you're 'saw-tisfied', or at least until there's nothing left to cut.

Durable. Warm and available in store from .

Imogen, one of our lovely locals here in Mirboo North, imports an incredible range of work clothes from Canada.
Why Canada? Well, these clothes are made to suit a far colder climate than ours, and you can rest assured that their durability and insulation will more than cover you here.

Currently offering reductions on the insulated overalls, which you've no doubt seen dangling outside the shop, you can try them on in store to understand what all this fuss is about.

Please give her a follow to stay up to date with all her offerings, to inquire about this amazing range and more.

Before you ask, no, we're not packing up and moving to a new location. Closing our doors to the shop means we can open new ones elsewhere.

Here's what Chay and I will be offering moving forward:
For the last 8 years, I've worked in marketing at RMIT University, applying my photography and videography skills internationally and in national campaigns.
Having started an run a few small businesses, I have developed a soft spot for them after wearing many hats and experiencing the burnout that so many other small business owners undoubtedly feel.

Being online doesn't mean you're part of the conversation.
You need a plan, structure, and a target audience.
Speaking to everyone means you're speaking to no one, but I can help change that. πŸ‘πŸΌ
With a host of local businesses already on board, I'm helping make sense of it all.
I can also show you how to make it less stressful and dare I say it, enjoyable.

Are you ready to take the reins? First consult is free. Let's chat.

We still have some lovely bamboo fibre bowls left - perfect for kiddies that have levelled up from silicone or plastic.

We're all sold out of these POLKA gins though, so maybe a glass of POLKA Rose will suffice?

Both available in store until June 30th, possums.

Thank you to everyone who has already swept through and snagged themselves some goodies.
To anyone who has tried the new fairy floss... were we exaggerating when we said it was amaaaaazing??

We're may be closing our doors on June 30th but....

We still have some delicious products to offer before we say goodbye to our shop on Ridgway.
Hill Top Hives will be delivering some new honey over the weekend, while Pickle my Chili still has some delicious sauces ranging from HOT to 'I literally use this on everything'.

We'll also be reducing prices to help move things along over the next couple of weeks.

From fruit cart to fruit stand, our journey continues! 🍎🍊

Despite bidding farewell to our beloved fruit cart, 'chariot d'abundance' this week, we're just letting you know that we're still selling delicious offerings (the mandarins are our particular favourite from ) from Wednesday to Saturdays πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Due to our doors closing on the 30th June, we will not be ordering more products in favour of selling what we can as we wind down.

We will be offering one last Oak & Swan bake and ask that you pre-order your bread, buns, flour and freakishly fluffy pancake mix before the 14th of June (we're definitely placing our own orders for freezing!)

That being said, we will have a small selection of loaves available in store for walk-ins.
We appreciate all your support - thank you!

It has been a bitersweet beginning to our week.

We've had customers come through our doors last week and today, seeking to replenish the products that they've bought and loved from us.

Products like the beetroot relish we stocked from Dumbalk Hills Fine Food are just one of the delicious offerings that will no longer be available once we close our doors.
Seasonal jams, sauces, chutneys, yoyo biscuits, musk sticks! and more are still available through Debbie's farmgate in Dumbalk.

This small business appreciates your efforts to visit them and support them.
We will also be making the same trips to purchase her delicious tomato and worcestershire sauces now we too won't be able to access them as easily through the shop.
If we can do it, so can you!

We are open until the 30th of June - please come and peruse our offerings and help ensure minimal waste.

Thank you!

Do you love freeze-dried berries coated in chocolate?

This whole bar of white chocolate emulates 'popping candy' with its sprinkled freeze-dried raspberries.
Not too sweet and lots to go around.
Nice work, Ton.

As I sit to type this message, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for what has been an incredible journey at The Fruiterers Daughter, and we have been truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve this wonderful community for a year.

Throughout our time here, we have strived to provide a service that goes beyond just selling fruits and vegetables. We aimed to create a warm and welcoming space that fostered a sense of connection and nourishment, both for the body and the soul.
We are deeply grateful for every smile, every conversation, and every purchase that has filled our humble store.

It is with mixed emotions that we must share the news that we will be closing our doors at the end of June. It saddens us to see the space that held so much life and vibrancy become empty. However, we believe that every ending paves the way for new beginnings, and we embark on this next chapter with hope and excitement (and maybe a sliver of trepidation).

We're eager to have more time in our lives for each other, which was one of the main reasons for closing. So, while we create one opportunity, we’re closing the door on another for other small businesses that have had a place on our shelves, and we urge you to take stock of them and continue in your support if they managed to find a place in your hearts (or pantry).
We are one less outlet for them to sell their products and urge any of you who loved any of these items to come and grab what remains and ask us where or how you can purchase them in the future.

Before we bid farewell, we ask you to kindly join us in perusing our offerings one last time.
We have a selection of products which aren't held by others nearby, and so we ask you to share in these treasures and ensure that nothing goes to waste.
Your support in selling as much as we can before June's end would mean the world to us and the pile of invoices.

During July, we will be diligently packing down the shop, baby in tow, reminiscing and cherishing the moments we shared with each of you. Our time here may be ending, but the memories and connections we have forged will forever remain.

As for what we will be doing once the shop is no longer. Our farm, Tweed & Flannel will slowly resume growing a selection of vegetables, and a new offering of on-site saw milling has resumed, catering to Mirboo and surrounds. Our page is worth a follow to stay up to date and to contact us for any lumber-like inquiries.

As for me, I've begun my own digital marketing agency. Having already begun to acquire eager local clients, and after nine years of experience in the education sector, I've developed a soft-spot for helping small businesses with creative and cost-effective solutions to advertising and increasing their online presence in a number of ways that we can discuss, if you’d like to know more – first consult is on me!

We hope that our humble store has left a positive impact, no matter how small, on the lives of those we have had the pleasure of serving and thank you all for making any purchase and taking part of the venture of the Fruiterers Daughter.

May your lives continue to be filled with an abundance of joy, love, and the freshest of fruits.

Much love,
Chay, Dune and Lana xo
