As I sit to type this message, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for what has been an incredible journey at The Fruiterers Daughter, and we have been truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve this wonderful community for a year.
Throughout our time here, we have strived to provide a service that goes beyond just selling fruits and vegetables. We aimed to create a warm and welcoming space that fostered a sense of connection and nourishment, both for the body and the soul.
We are deeply grateful for every smile, every conversation, and every purchase that has filled our humble store.
It is with mixed emotions that we must share the news that we will be closing our doors at the end of June. It saddens us to see the space that held so much life and vibrancy become empty. However, we believe that every ending paves the way for new beginnings, and we embark on this next chapter with hope and excitement (and maybe a sliver of trepidation).
We're eager to have more time in our lives for each other, which was one of the main reasons for closing. So, while we create one opportunity, weβre closing the door on another for other small businesses that have had a place on our shelves, and we urge you to take stock of them and continue in your support if they managed to find a place in your hearts (or pantry).
We are one less outlet for them to sell their products and urge any of you who loved any of these items to come and grab what remains and ask us where or how you can purchase them in the future.
Before we bid farewell, we ask you to kindly join us in perusing our offerings one last time.
We have a selection of products which aren't held by others nearby, and so we ask you to share in these treasures and ensure that nothing goes to waste.
Your support in selling as much as we can before June's end would mean the world to us and the pile of invoices.
During July, we will be diligently packing down the shop, baby in tow, reminiscing and cherishing the moments we shared with each of you. Our time here may be ending, but the memories and connections we have forged will forever remain.
As for what we will be doing once the shop is no longer. Our farm, Tweed & Flannel will slowly resume growing a selection of vegetables, and a new offering of on-site saw milling has resumed, catering to Mirboo and surrounds. Our page is worth a follow to stay up to date and to contact us for any lumber-like inquiries.
As for me, I've begun my own digital marketing agency. Having already begun to acquire eager local clients, and after nine years of experience in the education sector, I've developed a soft-spot for helping small businesses with creative and cost-effective solutions to advertising and increasing their online presence in a number of ways that we can discuss, if youβd like to know more β first consult is on me!
We hope that our humble store has left a positive impact, no matter how small, on the lives of those we have had the pleasure of serving and thank you all for making any purchase and taking part of the venture of the Fruiterers Daughter.
May your lives continue to be filled with an abundance of joy, love, and the freshest of fruits.
Much love,
Chay, Dune and Lana xo
