About Yamstick.....

Yamstick is the Nambucca Valley’s very own Certified Organic Egg Farm, with grass fed beef, citrus and pecans taking on a supporting role.

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Gladstone and surrounded by the steep ridges of Ganay nature reserve, the farm sits in the eye of an ancient volcanic caldera, full to the brim with native biodiversity, mineral rich soils and powerful vibes.

Since taking over a chewed out, dried up few hundred acres back in the 90’s, Yamstick has been in a constant state of renewal, revival and regeneration to bring it back to the verdant valley it once was, and is again today. Our passion for Organics and dedication to regenerative farming principles along with the belief that “nature knows best” means we can create healthy, delicious produce without costing the Earth.

Our farming philosophy is all about balance; about how we can support the community, the animals and, most importantly, the land that support us.

We feel deeply privileged to be able to farm in this region, to have such a conscientious and proud community to feed and to be able to offer job options to local farming enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. We are stoked to be able to support local cafes, retailers, food drives, charities and farmers markets.

We base all our husbandry on fresh science, ethics and ethology, always taking the kindest approach possible. Our eggs come from hens raised with love and care, here on the farm, from the day they are hatched. They live in Murcutt-esque mobile homes that see them travelling around the farm following our cows in search of fresh pick and grubs, and enjoying an all-day buffet of custom Certified Organic cereal from S.O.F.T Ag, supplemented with bio-char. True nomads, they’re never long in one place and enjoy their own personal space- our stocking density is less than 500 birds per hectare.
