✨ The Cheese Champagne Doesn't Want You To Forget ✨

Some cheeses shout for attention.

Chaource simply sits there looking impossibly creamy... and lets you come to it.

Made in the heart of Champagne-Ardenne, this AOP-protected beauty has been seducing cheese lovers for centuries. Beneath its snowy white rind lies a rich, velvety centre that starts fresh and milky before slowly transforming into something far more decadent.

Think fresh cream.
Think cultured butter.
Think mushrooms after rain.
Think hazelnuts and pure indulgence.

And when perfectly ripe? That creamy edge becomes dangerously oozy 😍

Pair it with:
🍾 Champagne (naturally)
🍷 A crisp Chablis
🫐 Fresh figs
🍯 Truffle honey
🥖 Warm crusty baguette

The hardest part isn't choosing what to pair with it.

It's stopping at one piece.

Available now at Le Fromage Yard.

🇫🇷 THE TEMPTATION BEGINS... 🇫🇷

From the makers of your new favourite foie gras comes something equally dangerous.

Introducing Clos Saint Sozy — the soul of Southwest France.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because this is the producer behind the foie gras that had so many of you coming back for more. And now we've opened the door to an even greater collection of French indulgence.

Think rustic country terrines.
Think slow-cooked duck rillettes.
Think silky foie gras folded into duck.
Think the sort of food that makes you cancel your dinner plans and build an entire meal around a crusty baguette and a glass of wine 🥂🦆🇫🇷

Crafted in the Lot region of Southwest France by Clos Saint Sozy, these award-winning charcuterie specialists work with generations of local farming families to create products that are unapologetically French, deeply traditional and utterly irresistible.

And this is only the beginning...
Over the coming days we'll be introducing a few additional new arrivals:

✨ Duck & Foie Gras Terrine with Gascogne Wine
✨ Duck Rillettes with Smoked Duck Breast
✨ Terrine au Jambon de Bayonne
✨ Country Terrine à l'Eau-de-Vie de Prune

The sort of pantry luxuries that transform an ordinary evening into something memorable.

A warm baguette.
A little butter.
A glass of red.
A generous slice of terrine.
A piece of cornichon.

Sometimes happiness really is that simple.

Stay tuned. The delicious details are coming... 😍

🇮🇹 NEW ARRIVAL 🇮🇹
Quartirolo Lombardo DOP Stagionato

From the legendary Ciresa family.

Some cheeses whisper. This one seduces.

Freshly arrived from Lombardy, northern Italy, Quartirolo Lombardo DOP is one of those cheeses that stops conversations mid-sentence. The kind you taste once, pause, and immediately reach back for another piece.

Crafted by Ciresa — the same family behind our much-loved Gorgonzola al Cucchiaio — this is a cheese with more than 1,000 years of history and enough character to make even the most seasoned cheese lover weak at the knees.

The paste is pale ivory and beautifully supple. The flavour begins with sweet cream and cultured milk before unfolding into notes of fresh mushrooms, warm hay, buttered nuts and gentle earthiness. Complex, elegant and endlessly moreish.

Pair it with ripe pear, fresh figs, toasted walnuts and a drizzle of good honey and you'll understand why Lombardy has treasured this cheese for centuries.

Or better yet...
Pour a glass of wine.
Break off a piece.
Close your eyes.

For a brief moment, you're sitting somewhere in northern Italy, surrounded by rolling green hills and vineyards, wondering why life can't always taste this good all the time.

Available now at Le Fromage Yard.

But be warned — this is exactly the sort of cheese people come back for after "just one taste". 🧀✨

✈️ HOLD ONTO YOUR HATS... IT'S GO TIME! 🧀

Worth. The. Wait.

It's been dreamed about.
And now — finally — it's here.

Wednesday our freight of the latest French airfreight shipment arrival at our warehouse and the counter is looking absolutely spectacular.

We're talking...

🧀 Oozy washed rinds with amber-coloured rinds and aromas that announce themselves the moment the box is opened.
🧀 Bold, beautiful blues packed with character and just the right amount of attitude.
🧀 Pillowy, cream-filled Bries that surrender at the touch of a knife.
🧀 Fresh chèvre — bright, tangy, citrusy and impossibly fresh.
🧀 Nutty, complex mountain cheeses and Alpine classics that have been worth every day of waiting.

This is the shipment many of you have been asking about. The one we've been eagerly tracking. The one that makes us feel like kids at Christmas every time the boxes arrive.

As always, some cheeses are in very limited quantities and once they're gone, they're gone.

So whether you've been craving your favourite Époisses, dreaming of a perfectly ripe Cremeux, or simply want to see what has just arrived from France, now is the time.

🇫🇷 Fresh from France.
🧀 Cut to order.
❤️ Ready for your next cheeseboard.

🫕 QUEENSLAND WINTER HAS ARRIVED 🫕

I don't care what anyone says. Once the temperature drops to 17°C or below, it's cold.

None of this "it's colder in Melbourne" or "you should try Europe in winter" business. We've done both and live in Queensland for a reason.

And when the temperature drops, our food gets heavier, cheesier, and infinitely more comforting.

Enter: Fondue.

There is something magical about gathering around a pot of molten cheese. A tradition born in the Swiss Alps centuries ago, fondue began as a clever way for farming families to use aged cheese, stale bread and local wine during the long winter months. What started as necessity became one of the world's greatest comfort foods.

At Le Fromage Yard, we like to take the classic fondue recipe and make it even more irresistible.

Forget boring, tasteless cheeses. Start with a blend of:
🧀 Appenzeller – rich flavour and savoury character
🧀 Abondance – for incredible richness and silky texture
🧀 Comte 18mths – bringing sweet nuttiness and depth
🧀 Tomyere – for extra complexity and slight salty, savoury flavour

Melt gently with a crisp dry white wine, rub the pot with garlic, and serve with stale bread, cornichons, pickled onions, baby potatoes, charcuterie, crisp apple slices and whatever else you can justify dipping into cheese.

The only rule?
Don't lose your bread in the pot. The Swiss take that very seriously. 😏

Cold weather doesn't last long in Queensland.

Fondue season doesn't either.

Come and stock up before we blink and spring is upon us.

🌶️ ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREAT PEPPERS HAS ARRIVED 🌶️

Most pepper is an afterthought.

A quick twist of the grinder. A little heat. Nothing more.

But once you've tasted truly exceptional pepper, there's no going back.

Introducing Pep — single-origin black pepper from Cambodia's Memot region, grown in rich red volcanic soils and sourced from one place, not blended from anonymous origins like most supermarket pepper.

The peppercorns are larger, fresher, and naturally rich in essential oils, delivering an incredible aroma, layers of flavour, and a warmth that builds slowly rather than simply burning your palate.

Fresh citrus. Woody spice. Floral notes. A lingering finish.

This is the kind of ingredient that transforms a perfectly ripe tomato, elevates a grilled steak, or makes a piece of aged cheese sing. As Plato once said, "Pepper is small in size but great in virtue."

We couldn't agree more.

Trust us on this one — crack it over your next meal and you'll understand why Cambodian pepper is regarded as some of the finest in the world.

✨ BACK ON THE SHELF — Stone & Lea ✨

Some products earn a permanent place in the cheese room.

We've been working with Roseanne from Stone & Lea for over 8 years, and her handcrafted jams, relishes, chutneys and tapenades continue to be some of the most-loved additions to our customers' cheese boards.

Made right here in Brisbane using locally sourced produce, every jar is crafted in small batches with the same care and attention we've come to expect from true artisan producers.

🌶 The One We Can't Keep in Stock
Chilli Jam

There is a reason this jar disappears almost as quickly as it arrives.

Made from ripe tomatoes and habanero chillies, then slow-cooked using traditional jam-making methods, this sweet-and-spicy favourite has developed something of a cult following amongst our customers.

Perfect with:
🧀 Brillat-Savarin
🧀 Triple cream brie
🧀 Fromage de Meaux
🥪 Sandwiches
🍖 Charcuterie boards

Medium heat • Gluten Free • Vegan Friendly

🧅 The Unsung Hero
Caramelised Onions

Sweet, savoury and endlessly versatile. Whether you're pairing it with a creamy brie, a nutty alpine cheese, a fresh chèvre or even a punchy blue, this jar somehow makes everything taste better.

A cheese board staple if you ask us.

Available now in-store and online — but if history is anything to go by, don't leave the Chilli Jam too long. 😉
