This Thursday will be our last market until 29th October.

Phil and his team of farm workers will start getting busy planting seedlings for the new season.

Phil and Lisa will then be back at the market on 29th October.

So there will be six weeks of no markets. It is a bit of a break... I am hoping you don't go to Moss Vale in that time expecting to see us, because you won't. But I do hope you will come again when we are back and not forget about us due to the long absence.

It could be a bit of a drive for you, but bread and pastries will continue to be available from the cafe, Moonacres Kitchen, in Robertson.

If you were interested in the Tuesday home deliveries that we do (produce from Moonacres Farm if we have any, other certified organic produce that we get from Sydney markets, some sourdough loaves and croissants, eggs and other groceries), please make contact and we can give you some more details. The deliveries will run next week on 15th September, and then weekly from 13th October, so you can still get some things while the market is not on.

While the market is not on, if you want anything from Rachel (eg a focaccia đŸ˜‹) you can contact her through her page The Quirky Miss and she will sort it for you.

Anyway, so this week we have:
Moonacres Farm Produce-
Dutch Cream Potatoes, Cavolo Nero, Salad mix and Spigarello Flower stems.
It is likely that the Farm Crew will find some other produce for our stall, too.

Other Items: sour dough bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe.

Hope to see you from 3pm!

First Market day for Spring! Come down on Thursday to support local.

Rachel The Quirky Miss will have fresh baked goodies and soon have hydroponic greens, all from right here in Moss Vale.

Moonacres Farm Produce
Some of the Cavolo Nero are starting to flower, which is normal for this time of the season.
These cavolo nero flowers are actually very nice to eat. They look a little bit like broccolini, and you can pan fry them. Phil often mixes it into a pasta.

This week we have cavolo nero flower bunches, as well as regular cavolo nero bunches, spigarello (which is a type of kale but its leaves are softer than the cavolo nero) and the two varieties of potatoes on offer.

The farm guys are likely to find a few other things for our market stall.

Market Schedule
New seedlings will be planted in September, and once these seedlings grow and become harvest-able, our list will start getting bigger. Until then, please note that Phil and Lisa will have a little break from the markets from mid September.

They will be at Moss Vale for the next 2 Thursdays up until (and including)10th September. They will then have some time off and come back either late October or early November... it will depend on how those new seedlings are going.

Citrus for the National Braille Music Camp
We have lemons and limes from local friends, all proceeds going towards the National Braille Music Camp.

Through the markets in Moss Vale, the stall in front of Moonacres Kitchen on Saturday mornings, and with Tuesday home deliveries, we have raised more than $360 for the month of August which is amazing. Thank you.

At Moonacres stall there will be sour dough bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe).

See you there!

They will be at Moss Vale for the next 3 Thursdays up until (and including)10th September. They will then have some time off and come back either late October or early November... it will depend on how those new seedlings are going.

Citrus for the National Braille Music Camp
We have more lemons (various varieties), limes (yellow and oval shaped) and oranges from local friends, all proceeds going towards the National Braille Music Camp. So far this month, we have raised a total of more than $200 which is fantastic. Thank you.

As usual, sour dough bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe).

See you at Moss Vale on Thursday, 3-5pm.

Thursday 20th August market day.

Farm produce:

The farm guys might be able to find a few other things for our market stall... but what we can provide with confidence are potatoes (dutch cream and sebago) and cavolo nero. The cavolo nero leaves are shorter so they are being bunched with more leaves per bunch, and they are tasting nice due to the frost that we have been getting.

New seedlings will be planted in September, and once these seedlings grow and become harvest-able, our list will start getting bigger. Until then, please note that Phil and Lisa will have a little break from the markets from mid September.

They will be at Moss Vale for the next 4 Thursdays up until (and including)10th September. They will then have some time off and come back either late October or early November... it will depend on how those new seedlings are going. Thankyou for supporting Moonacres Farm, certified organic produce.

We have more lemons (various varieties) and oranges from local friends, all proceeds going towards the National Braille Music Camp. So far this month, we have raised more than $150 which is fantastic. Thank you!

We will also have sour dough bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe).

Also don't forget to support Rachel's stall - lots of yummy home baked goodies.

See you there from 3pm!

Thursday 13th August farmers market

Have you tried Rachel's The Quirky Miss baking yet? You should!

From Moonacres Farm we have certified Organic kiwi fruit, potatoes (dutch cream and sebago) and cavolo nero. There will be small quantities of other veggies too.

The cavolo nero leaves are shorter, so they are being bunched with more leaves per bunch, making them a nice size bunch. Cavolo Nero is part of the brassica family and they get sweeter after a bit of frost, which we have been getting.

We have more lemons from local friends, the proceeds going towards the National Braille Music Camp.
These lemons are a joyful orange colour.

Plus bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe).

See you there!

Market Thursday 6th August:

Rachel will join us again with her delicious baking, consider supporting local, made from scratch goodies!

The farm list is starting to shrink now. Sadly that is what happens in winter... new planting starts in spring... but then we need to wait a month or two till they are ready for harvest...

We have kiwi fruit, potatoes (dutch cream and sebago) and cavolo nero.

We have sold all the lemons from local friends - the proceeds going towards the National Braille Music Camp - thank you.
We still have some oranges left.

Plus bread, pastries, Farm Honey, eggs and Coffee Beans (coming from Mecca, the brand that is used in Moonacres cafe).

Come on down to support local organic produce and locally made.

Farmers Market Thursday 30th July - for your shopping list!

Rachel The Quirky Miss will have focaccia breads and other delicious baked items. Did you check out her stall last week?

Moonacres Farm will have kiwi fruit, beetroot (both golden and red), potatoes (dutch cream and sebago), radicchio, cavolo nero and rhubarb. This produce is certified organic.

You may have seen citrus too. These are not from Moonacres farm, but from the gardens of local friends. All proceeds from the citrus will go towards the National Braille Music Camp. Lisa has been going to this camp for the last 7 years as the accompanist to their choir, and is continually impressed by these children's talent, resilience and sense of humour.

(Link to ABC news article about the camp in the comments.)

Also available is sour dough bread, pastries, farm honey, eggs and coffee (that is used at Moonacres cafe).

Come on down to support local producers at Moss Vale on Thursday afternoon, 3pm to 5pm
