Staff pick of the week with Jessey, our butcher department manager who has one of the popular choices that can be found in the cabinets - Chicken Fillet Mignon.

These are a hit and disappear fast. We make them right here in store, so they’re perfect for a cosy night in or if you’re hosting a crowd. Each fillet is wrapped in bacon and topped with a generous amount of garlic butter.

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable team member to join our busy café and kitchen team.

Position: Casual
Hours: 25–35 hours per week
Location: Café & Kitchen
Start Time: 7:00am

Duties Include:

✅ Preparing catering orders, including grazing boxes and platters
✅ Making sandwiches, rolls and wraps for the shop
✅ Preparing salads and fresh fruit containers
✅ Filling and maintaining stock on shelves
✅ Serving customers and making coffees in our café
✅ General café and kitchen duties

About You:

✔ Able to work efficiently within timeframes
✔ Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks
✔ Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
✔ Friendly, reliable and willing to learn
✔ Café, kitchen or barista experience is beneficial, but not essential

Full on-the-job training will be provided for the right applicant.

Our staff pick of the week with Gareth. He’s usually busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen but when he’s not preparing cafe orders he’s crafting specials for the bain-marie and heat & eat options in the cabinets. With winter finally here, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a hot bowl of our soup of the day – delicious potato leek and bacon soup – with a slice of Bakers Delight bread.
