Featuring over 100 stalls and activities from local businesses and supporters, this FREE event 🆓 hosted by Division 9 Councillor Glenn Tozer - City of Gold Coast on SUNDAY 17 MAY 2026 will celebrate Mudgeeraba and all things community 🧑‍🤝‍🧑.

Curried sausages became an Aussie budget classic when someone basically decided snags needed a curry makeover dating back to early 1900's — somehow it worked and has been popular ever since.

Ingredients
1 tbsp butter/ghee
1/2 kg Sausages (beef or pork)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 carrot peeled and sliced
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2-3 tbs corn flour
1 level tbsp of your fave curry blend or suited for the whole family try Lamb & Cashew Korma Curry Masala or Bombaywalla
1-2 cups chicken stock
salt and pepper to season

Directions
Heat the oil in a large pot until hot.
Slice sausages on a angle and put into pot and cook until brown (set aside)
Using the same pot, add the onion and garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes
Add curry powder and stir in, mix until aromatic
Add flour and mix in well for 1 minute
Gradually pour in the chicken stock and keep mixing until it comes together
Add carrot and peas, salt and pepper
Add the sausages and bring to a simmer and cook until sauce starts to thicken
Serve with rice or mashed potato
