🌿 How to Brew the Perfect Infusion 🌿
Are you rushing your herbal tea? You might be leaving the best benefits in the mug.
In herbalism, there’s a real difference between a quick “tea” and a true **medicinal infusion** — and it comes down to time, intention, and extraction.
A quick tea is often just a few minutes in hot water — lovely for flavour, but not always enough to fully draw out the deeper minerals and plant constituents we rely on for nourishment.
A **true infusion**, however, is something slower and more intentional.
✨ Steep your herbs for 10–15 minutes
✨ Always cover your cup or teapot with a lid
✨ This helps trap the volatile oils (the plant’s most aromatic and therapeutic compounds)
✨ Give the plant time to fully release its mineral and medicinal goodness
Think of it as letting the plant *speak fully*, not just whisper.
Leafy and mineral-rich herbs like nettle, lemon balm, and oatstraw especially benefit from this longer steep — turning a simple cup of tea into a deeply nourishing daily tonic.
Slow down. Cover your cup. Let the medicine steep.
👉 Try it with your next brew and notice the difference.
