Today I moved a Notice of Motion in the NSW Parliament calling for the NSW Government and Minister for Health to seriously address concerns that have been raised about the Bathurst Health Service.

Here's what it said -

I move a Notice of Motion that this House:

1. Thanks and acknowledges the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the doctors, nurses, allied health workers, paramedics, support staff and all employees at the Bathurst Health Service for the care and support they provide to patients and families.

2. Recognise the growing concerns and ongoing crisis facing the Bathurst Health Service, including increasing pressure on staff, patient demand, morale issues and concerns raised by members of the community regarding the delivery of health services.

3. Notes the concerns expressed by healthcare workers, patients and families regarding workplace culture, staff morale and management practices at the hospital.

4. Calls on the NSW Labor Government and NSW Health to immediately launch an independent investigation into the management, workplace culture, staff morale and operational pressures affecting the Bathurst Health Service.
