There’s something special about mushroom season in Adelaide 🍄✨Porcini and saffron milk caps start showing up, bringing that deep, earthy flavour that makes simple home cooking feel a little more special.
This week, I’ve been trying a few easy combinations — nothing complicated, just good ingredients cooked simply 👇

🍝 Mushroom & Minced Pork Sauce
A comforting classic that’s hard to get wrong
Sauté minced pork until lightly browned, add diced mushrooms, and let everything cook down slowly.A splash of soy sauce or tomato brings it all together.
Perfect with noodles or even toast — simple, rich, and satisfying 🤍

🥓 Mushroom & Pork Belly Stir-fry
Probably the most flavour-packed combo
Render the pork belly first, then toss in mushrooms to soak up all that goodness.Minimal seasoning works best here — just salt and a bit of soy.
It’s the kind of dish that makes you want a second bowl of rice 🍚🔥

🥩 Porcini Beef Stir-fry
A slightly elevated but still easy dish
Quickly sear sliced beef, cook mushrooms separately, then combine.A touch of black pepper or butter adds a Western twist.
Great for a simple but “restaurant-feel” dinner at home ✨

🍛 Chicken & Mushroom Curry
Comfort food for cooler evenings
Chicken thigh, mushrooms, and a mild curry base simmered together.Serve with rice and you’ve got a warm, cosy meal everyone can enjoy 💛

If you end up with extra mushrooms — freeze them in portions!It makes it so easy to cook something quick later on.

阿德莱德的采菇季真的很有氛围🍄✨松乳菇和牛肝菌陆续出现,那种天然的菌香,让很多简单的家常菜都变得更有层次。
最近在家试了几种“蘑菇+肉”的搭配,其实都不复杂,但真的很好吃👇

🍝 蘑菇肉酱
很经典也很容易成功的一道
先把猪肉碎炒香,再加入切丁蘑菇一起慢慢炒出水分加一点酱油或者番茄提味
拌面或者配面包都很好吃,简单但很满足🤍

🥓 蘑菇炒五花肉
非常有满足感的一道
先把五花肉煸出油,再加入蘑菇用最简单的调味就很好吃
那种油脂+菌香的组合,很容易多吃一碗饭🍚🔥

🥩 牛肝菌炒牛肉
稍微有一点“精致感”的做法
牛肉快速翻炒,蘑菇单独炒香后再混合可以加一点黑胡椒或者黄油
在家也能做出一点西餐的感觉✨

🍛 鸡肉蘑菇咖喱
很适合天气微凉的时候
鸡腿肉+蘑菇一起炖煮搭配咖喱和米饭
是一种很温暖、很治愈的味道💛

如果蘑菇买多了,可以分装冷冻保存以后随时都可以做一顿简单又好吃的家常菜

Fire up the grill or hot plate!

• Pork Belly Slices: Thinly sliced, fatty & flavourful. Grill until edges are crispy, wrap in lettuce with garlic and ssamjang. Korean BBQ at home, so easy! 🔥

When the A/C is on all day and you’ve lost your appetite… try fighting heat with warmth. 🌬️➡️🍲

A light, aromatic hot pot can be surprisingly refreshing. It’s not about heavy spices, but clean broth and quality ingredients that wake up your senses.

Here’s my simple “Revival Pot” formula:

• Chaozhou Beef Balls
The juicy ones burst with savoury broth; the springy tendon balls add great texture. Simmer them with corn & daikon for a sweet, comforting soup base. 🐄

• Thin-Sliced Meat Rolls
Beef, lamb, fish-lamb, or chicken. Just dip them in simmering broth for a few seconds until they turn tender. Keep it light—a touch of soy sauce is enough. 🥩

• Handmade Prawn Paste
Form into balls and cook until they float. Sweet, bouncy, and full of freshness. Perfect in a tomato or mushroom broth. 🦐

My tip: Use a simple broth made from kelp, shiitake, and ginger. It’s soothing, gentle, and helps balance that “cold-from-within” feeling after a long day in air-con.

Sometimes, a warm meal is the coolest way through a hot day. 😌

以下是我简单的“唤醒身心锅”配方:

• 潮汕牛肉丸
爆汁款入口满是咸香汤汁;弹牙牛筋丸则带来绝妙口感。与玉米和白萝卜一同慢炖,便能得到清甜暖心的汤底。🐄

• 薄切肉卷
牛肉、羊肉、鱼羊混合卷或鸡肉卷。只需在微滚的汤中轻涮几秒,待其变得柔嫩即可。保持清淡——少许酱油足矣。🥩
