It rained a lot last week - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - over 40mms in 2 days and lots of showers on the other days!
By Thursday the farm was sodden and slushy.
Volunteer Helen wore her new gumboots and happily sloshed about picking lettuce and tomatoes and limes and so on, in between showers.
Winter is here. Don't you love it ?? 🥶😄☃️💚🥦

Guess where our limes going? Well they've gone drinking!
Or more precisely, jumping right in and being part of the product.

Well this volunteer didn't have to wait long for the first taste test of the Butterfly Pea flower tea..looks like she's still making up her mind!

Farm activities - including the first harvest of the exotic Butterfly Pea flower. Wow! The brewed tea images represent the final stage which is yet to come. Looking forward to the first sip and the reputed health benefits 😊

To our customers..
Our bumper rosella harvest is finally beginning to dwindle. The quality of the petals is still good but the cores are drying out which means there's not sufficient pectin for making decent jam 😔. Petals can still be dried for tea however, or used in cordials.

Also, another reminder that the Farm will be closed on Saturday 23 May as the Spartan Events will be taking place in various locations across the Conference Centre. 😊🌻🥦🍆💚

This one was weeded and dug over thoroughly, revealing lots of worms. Ready to go!

Dear Customers
There will be no access available for Peak Organics customers on Saturday May 23 as the Spartan Trifecta will be underway at Ivory's Rock for the weekend. As the whole site is engaged throughout those days, it is not possible for you to visit. (a follow up reminder will be sent out prior to 23 May).
In the meantime, lots of delicious produce is available - our own yummy bananas, pumpkins, salads, leafy greens, citrus; beetroot, carrots, our preserves, teas and much more.
So drop in and get some energising, body-building nutrients and you may find that you are powering - and suddenly keen to join the Spartan races!
