Reconciliation and NAIDOC week aren’t to far away!
This is the craziest busy time for us native food business, even busier than Christmas!

We start getting contacted in April for catering services for this busy period and native food caterers get booked out very quickly.

While we don’t do catering (most people know I’m not a very confident cook😆),
we can recommend Native Botanical Brewery to provide an authentic, delicious Australian native infused menu.
Word of warning though, get in early or you will miss out!

See the catering menu here:
https://nativebotanicalbrewery.org/pages/catering

Or email Corey at:
[email protected]

If you have seen us at Newcastle Farmers Market, you would know Corey‘s famous Lemon Myrtle ginger beer and Strawberry Gum lemonade.
Order some of those with your catering while you’re at it, absolutely delicious!

We’re incredibly proud to share this moment… ✨🌿

My Dilly Bag and Aunty Dale Chapman have been featured in an amazing international article by Tourism Australia highlighting unique Australian experiences — and we are honoured to be part of it.

The article showcases the Dreaming Trails experience on the Sunshine Coast, where visitors can connect deeply with Country, culture and native foods. As part of the journey, guests meet Aunty Dale, learn about bush foods, sustainability and traditional knowledge, and enjoy afternoon tea infused with native flavours.

Seeing Aboriginal food knowledge and cultural experiences recognised on a global stage is something really special. It helps share the richness of the world’s oldest living culture with visitors from around the world — something we are deeply passionate about at My Dilly Bag.

We would love your support in spreading this story.

👉 Please take a moment to read the article and share it with your friends and community. Every share helps more people discover the beauty of Aboriginal culture, bush foods and the incredible experiences available here on the Sunshine Coast.

Thank you for walking alongside us on this journey. 🌿💛

📖 We’ll pop the link to the article in the comments.

Oz Tukka is back at tomorrow’

After nearly 6 months on her cancer journey, Linda will be back onsite tomorrow with her beautiful range of native herbs and spices, bushfood-inspired products, and fresh finger limes!

Finger limes will be in limited supply, so be sure to get in early if you’d like some.

We’ll also have a special guest tomorrow — Ieshia from Native Botanical Brewery will be there pouring icy cold Lemon Myrtle Ginger Beer on tap. This refreshing non-alcoholic drink is incredibly popular (and a little addictive!). Cans will also be available to take home.

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow — it’s been far too long away from my wonderful Farmers Market family ❣️

2025….The year of challenge & I’m happy to put it behind me.

Loosing Ray so suddenly in January, delving myself so deeply with determination & strength into running Oz Tukka without him (part of my healing I think), which I succeeded but long long days to achieve it.

Then the shocking diagnosis in August that I have Pancreatic Cancer!
Closing Oz Tukka for 6 weeks after surgery in September then Chemo started in early December.
Here is me thinking I can just carry on normal going through chemo, well that is not the case. I have chemo for 3 consecutive days every 2 weeks (2 days with a take-home pump attached to my chest).
Chemo finishes in May😫
I really only feel partly normal for 5 days of that fortnight.

So, some incredible changes will be happening in 2026 and I’m very excited for my new chapter.

All will be revealed in the coming weeks🌱

Be safe everybody, thank you for supporting Oz Tukka like you all do and the biggest thing I can say is ‘DONT SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF’

These pictures are what I love to do the most….teaching bushfood. So much more of this to come in 2026 and I can’t wait!😃😘

Much love
Linda💚

I’m back!

Although I’m much slower while I rebuild my strength and my organs (what’s left of them) heal.

Oz Tukka was closed for 5 weeks while I tackled the Whipple procedure surgery to remove pancreatic cancer.
I’m so so lucky that the cancer was contained to my pancreas but chemo is still to follow, which I am a bit scared of and I hope I don’t get sick🤞🏼🙏

The Oz Tukka online store is up and running, the factory front shop is open Monday to Friday, but check hours on Google for when I’m offsite.
I will be starting back at the Newcastle Farmers Market every Sunday and attending my beloved schools as soon as possible, hopefully over the next few weeks.

Thank you to everyone for checking in on me, the meals, flowers, gorgeous words, precious drawings from the children, long hugs and amazing support. I have the most incredible people surrounding me in my life.

Onwards & upwards!

It was my last Sunday yesterday, for a little while, at
This wonderful group of people are the stallholders inside the pavilion that I spend every Sunday with and they are just like family🥰
They did a surprise gathering at my stall yesterday, gave me hugs, flowers, beautiful gifts and lots of positive words before my marathon Whipple Procedure surgery this Wednesday to remove a malignant tumour from the head of my pancreas.

The Oz Tukka shop, online store and my precious education sessions are also temporary closed, for approximately 1 month.

Thank you to everybody who has contacted me & helped me over the past 7 weeks. You will never be forgotten.

I’m scared, anxious but super positive and determined this friggin thing is not going to beat me!

Updates when I can.
Much love,
Linda🌱
